90% sure Martin's in that burnout stage by this point where everything is a chore to do. YGOTAS has been his big series for 16-odd years now and he's ready to move on, and I totally get it, but credit to him for trying to wrap the series up.
Plus I feel like he's gonna have loads more fun when he gets to the Ancient Egypt Arc.

I mean, he's been at this for sub-20 years now. And it didn't help that the last time he released an episode, his cat died and he got falsely accused of knowing that Niosi is an abuser and hid it and all that stuff with his stalker.
Which, BTW, was all because Shady is a sociopath with an inflated ego and spread those rumors because Shady is an asshole that used an artist to spread said lies.

I chuckled at the gags involving Joey's deck. Feels consistent with Tristan generally being slow on the uptake.
I think there is something to be said for this being a terrible arc in general, and probably hard to parody well because it's so focused on the card game.

I felt the last episode was great while this one was a super mixed bag. The jokes ran the full spectrum between low effort and clever.

I loved the bait and switch gag where the frilly Arc Villain says that Kaiba hates no one else in the world more than him, and then Kaiba reveals who he hates the most. And with the constant shit-talking he gives to Joey, you'd expect it to be him. But no it was actually Sherlock Holmes for not being able to buy his rights.

I did enjoy the episode myself. Plus come July 17th it will officially be 18 of Abridged series being a thing too. I was in HS when it was 1st released.
