I presume what's happening to Chihiro is the "reenactment" Darindad mentioned.
Chapters 34 & 35
Well things have gotten dark
I was wondering where things would turn. Interesting.
And it's good to know that watching zombie movies wasn't a complete waste of time. :P
Hey now, we all gotta be prepared for the zombie apocalypse.
Still, seems like we'll finally have a reveal of what's up with Rosalie.
I just watched the special Episode 13 and it was quite interesting.
The episode is mostly from Babu's perspective and the final scene of the episode is Darin arriving at the airport

Also, new chapter recently.
Wow, I really let myself get behind on this. Dangit internet, why didn't you warn me when there were new chapters?
Anyway, Silva for father of the year, all years.
I know right! He's such a wonderful father he'd love his daughter even especially after she's dead!

Yep! "Especially" and "only" are practically the same thing.
What's the trope for the least monstrous mother is the one who campaigns for her nephew to knock up her daughter? (That is if you don't count the zombie mom we only see in brief flashbacks.)
And does anybody else call this series: Skank Area?
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Chapter 45: Looks like the 'mother was a zombie' theory was spot on
Pretty sure we all saw it coming.
Also, I have a theory floating in my head. Darin's father made Rea's brain cells into a super-vaccine. Said vaccine spilled onto Babu, suppressing his zombie urges. So - maybe Rea's memories are encoded into Babu somehow? Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Chapter's out.
Gotta give her props about being so chill about her body dissolving.
There have been a few new chapters since the thread was last active we finally get Grandpa's backstory, Chihiro begins to remember his mum and Rea finally looses it.
So with the flashback we've got the full background of the Skank Area?
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."That joke wasn't funny the first time. Please don't force it.
Now, this might just be wishful thinking, but it feels like the manga is heading for the end. Well, can't say I disapprove. They kind of did everything they could with this story, so ending is probably the smart thing to do.
The only thing left really is to see whether or not there can be anything that can be done for Rea's condition.
Zombie self control requires 2xX-chromosome.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Chapters 50 and 51 are out and translated and, uhm, I'm not really sure if there's anything that could be DONE at this point, especially with Rea going on a very public attack at her school like that.
It no longer seems to be a question of finding a cure, but finding a way to let go.
Well, apparently the raws for chapter 55, the finale, is out, though there's going to be an extra chapter apparently next month, though it's not clear if its an epilogue or not.
In any case, boy, was this a massive mindscrew. What we're shown in the end is that there's apparently no turning back for Rea, and she's shown to attack and eat someone (implied to be out male lead)... and yet we're shown a peppy and happy future for everyone side by side, with Rea healed (no scars or anything) too. What makes the latter not stick is, well, all the details missing.
Yeah, quite a headscratcher. Hopefully next month's chapter answers some of the questions.
Chapter 52 out. And the young couple prepare to act out their vore fantasies.
Chapter 56. The end. Or is it?
It was certainly an, uhm ending.
So yeah, what happened apparently was that Rea ripped Chihiro's heart out and ate it. This causes her to come back to her senses, but in the process she also realizes that she just killed Chihiro. Cue fast forward, where Rea is apparently living on her own in a cottage close to Mount Fuji, away from people. She gets visited by Darlene, and the two of them talk at how unusual Rea was, as despite the advancements they've had due to info found from Rea, zombies still only last two or three months at best (this was as Babu's grave is finally shown). And here Rea was, still moving around, a year later.
The two of them are driven to Chihiro's family house, where she meets Ranko and Mero. It's apparently the one-year anniversary of the death of the grandfather. There's banter between the girls, but eventually Rea is left to her own devices, and she starts wandering around the house. To her surprise, she runs into Chihiro. Apparently Rea's attack didn't kill him immediately, due to the fact that his over-exposure to his grandfather's formula turned him into a sort of half-zombie, just enough that he could be rushed and given a heart transplant (you may say WHAT here now).
The two talk, and Rea shares how, despite being technically alone where she currently lived, she was content, as it was the first time she's lived on her own... despite being dead. Still there's one word that Chihiro is apparently waiting for from Rea, but she surprises him by saying "gochisousamadeshita", and then teases him about him expecting something else. Chihiro clams up, and the manga ends. Medetashi, medetashi.
