Hrodland: Well, it all went surprisingly smoothly, didn't it?

Xion: least it was over quickly

Hrodland: That too, yeah.

[deep breath]

Xion: ...Maaaybe not the best first mission. That's all.

Hrodland: Hey, on the bright side, it's all going to feel like a walk in the park from there. -shrugs, breathing a bit of fire from his nose to light his pipe-

Xion: So this isn't the normal situation? Thank Kingdom Hearts.

Samus: He's right, this is one of our biggest jobs. We normally get involved in more manageable conflicts. I just had high hopes for everyone in doing well on this one.

Xion: I...I wasn't great...

[uncomfortable neck scratch]

Hrodland: Hey, if you took the job, it's because you knew we could do it, yeah?

Samus: What he said.

Xion: ...Yeah, you're right. Thanks.

...Not getting that anomaly out of my nightmares for a while, though.

Hrodland: Might wanna see someone about that, yeah.

(@Samus) Glad you had Kerberos on their A-game, I take it?

Xion: Maybe...anyway, what now?

Samus: Very glad, yes.

-Albert is reading what looks to be half of The Westing Game-

Hrodland: Heh, good to hear... We got something else lined up already, by the way?

- a set of heavy footsteps approach as a pleasant, if slightly distorted, voice speaks to Albert-

???: "Excuse me, sir, but would you know where I might find a place to switch out a power core or the like?"

Samus: We have a few offers, but we do have another bigger thing to discuss before getting back to work.

-Albert looks up from his book at the figure- @??? Albert: "Depends on the size and type of the power core. Are we talking portable? Or something for space ships?"

-Albert finds himself staring at a humanoid mecha about 2 meters in height, gunmetal grey and sporting a rather menacing cyclonic eye-

???: "It's for personal use-"

-reaching up and twisting an inset disc on its shoulder armour, a cylinder pops out of the back of the mecha with a neat k-chunk and a hiss of steam-

???: "This one is almost burnt out and I've been spending the last two days trying to search a stock out. Unfortunate circumstances have left me with no spare ones."

-reaching back around, it smacks the core back into place-

Samus: @Xion Don't worry about it.

@Hrodland Kerberos has a warrant of trade in the company's name now.

Hrodland: Because of the job, I take it?

Samus: Yes.
