*a dark projectile is emitted from the end of the Geneticlasher and strikes the Ludroth in the side; it blasts a ragged hole through its skin, rupturing several vital organs and killing it*

Dark!Xene: ...So THAT'S how I use my Dark-type moves! ...Could it be that I'm actually from Gensokyo?

*however this has alerted the other Ludroths to the Hunters' presence, and they are pissed*

Aurora: "...why?"

Igno: Hm, well, it's Not like eating an animal, it feels kinda... Wrong, I'd say.

... I mean, I may have an explanation for it, but...

M!Rikka: Ack! Um, um...

RIKKA used REFLECT!

-*meaning basically that a thin wall of light surrounds her, Xene, and Cirno, halving damage taken from physical attacks*

Aurora: "...go on..."

Cirno: Kind of doubt it... You have no actual spell cards.

-She pulls out another card in her left hand.-

Cirno: Burning sign: Ignition Wave!

-She sends out three streams of fire, but they don't really get wider as they get farther out. The middle one is aimed at a Ludroth, with the other two going to its sides.-

Dark!Xene: @M!Rikka I appreciate the thought, but, um... if you can, maybe next time you could make it encapsulate each of us like my forcefields, so we can use melee attacks without having to go outside the barrier? *raises Geneticlasher*

*one of the Ludroths charges at M!Rikka, since the Riftcutter sword seems to be less threatening compared to the Shadow Geneticlasher and Fire!Cirno's flamethrower blasts*

*flamethrower blasts which, as a matter of fact, have successfully barbecued another Ludroth*

Igno: Hm... The way I see it, animals are simple minded, and only live following their natural needs like food, water, and sleep, they stay in their part in the natural cycle and, should they fall victim to a predator, eventually... Let go, and accept their fate, so to speak.

... As for humans, and other civilised creatures, It's different: Civilisation breaks out of the circle of life, making its own rules, in which things like "getting eaten by your neighbor" is right out. So when something like this happens, a human will keep struggling until their last breath, clinging to life like only a human could, while being powered only by sheer terror...

... Am I making any sense with this? ._.

Aurora: "Yeah, but where's the difference once they're dead?"

*the Ludroth jumps at M!Rikka at exactly the wrong time and ends up a lizard-kebab*

*meanwhile, Dark!Xene slashes at another Ludroth, but ends up accidentally smacking it with the flat side instead, which nevertheless sends it flying a few yards and leaves it stunned*

Igno: There isn't any, I guess... But the important thing is the transition, here, I think...

M!Rikka: >.<

Aurora: "Transition?"

-Cirno rushes the Ludroth with her sword, seeking to impale it.-

Igno: I mean, how they feel in their last moments before the kill, you know?

Aurora: "Well if you do your job right they don't feel anything."

Dark!Xene: Nice shot, Rikka.

*the stunned Ludroth recovers, and rears up threateningly... thus putting its head in Cirno's way*
