"An unerotic unthrilling erotic thriller in the video game mold, "Sucker Punch" is "Last Airbender" with bustiers." - Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel

Buscemi, you can throw every negative review you want into this thread, but the people who already want to see it won't let mainstream critics sway them. It's a stupid popcorn movie, which is the whole point.

I just find it funny that the film is falling flat on its face. It's like The Last Airbender all over again.

I can't wait for the rest of the major critics' opinions.

Who the hell is Roger Moore anyway? Sounds like a former James Bond actor.

[up][up][up][up][up][up][up]I don't know who Brian Orndorf is, but that's Napoleon on a motorcycle.

[up][up][up][up][up]But is it a good stupid popcorn movie? That's the real question.

^ Welp, that's what I'm gonna find out for myself tomorrow! This is the kind of thing critics aren't good for.

[up][up] He works for the Orlando Sentinel. He's a Rotten Tomatoes top critic.

And Brian Orndorf used to work for Film Jerk.com. His reviews are quite entertaining.

I don't listen to critics anyway. They usually badmouth otherwise good movies.

Sounds like it isn't good at being a popcorn movie.

Huh. Sucks that it isn't really reviewing well but I've still seen some positive opinions on the film and the bad reviews haven't detered me at all. Ultimately, all that really matters is that I enjoy it.

Critics? Don't listen to them. This is the type of amazing movie that comes out every once in a while and gets critically panned, yet audiences end up loving it. And it's Zack Snyder, man! You can't go wrong with his films if you fit in the demographic they're aimed at (13 to 34-year-old male geeks who love comics and action flicks). But Legend of the Guardians? Pretend that one doesn't even exist.

If Buscemi's info about test screenings is to be believed, that's clearly not what's happening here.

Well I agree with the quote. Look at Speed Racer. Great movie. Panned by critics. Of course YMMV.
