Mercenary work suffers from blowing huge amounts of cash on useless R&D And runs the risk of your base being blown up by random health inspectors.

Hell, I can't imagine MSF Functioning if its volunteers were paid something according to their specialty.

He's got a point.

This seemed... different. Like, I barely recognized the author's style, both in art and humour. I actually thought it was a guestcomic for a bit.

Might just be me reading this just after waking up, but still.

Bowser's clearly in her style, but it seems she drew everyone else in a style similar to SMRPG.

I love that's it's Bowser of all people standing up for the notion of free will.

If he didn't, he'd never be able to kidnap the Princess.

Plus, while it might be a different game, this might be where he gets the idea to steal the star rod later on.

He obviously twigged to the fact that his wishes never get granted.

His wishes get granted plenty.

Super Mario is a constant back and forth. Every story in which Mario storms Bowser's castle and rescues Peach is preceded by a story in which Bowser blitzes the Mushroom Kingdom and abducts Peach without anyone being powerful enough to stop him. On some occasions, such as the aforementioned Star Rod incident, he even defeats Mario in the process.

That story just doesn't get much emphasis, but because of the repetitive nature of the games, Bowser wins about as much as Mario.

• Bowser wins! Peach is kidnapped.
• Mario wins! Peach is returned.
• Bowser wins! Peach is kidnapped again.
• Mario wins! Peach is returned again.
• Bowser wins! Peach is kidnapped once more.
• Mario wins! Peach is returned yet again.

So then asking if Mario wins more than Bowser or vice versea is like asking if there are more even numbers than odd numbers.

Plus he did eventually get married to her in Paper Mario series.

Then came the divorce, nothing really came of that, no alimony or anything because Peach would rather forget it happened and have no evidence it happened at all.

Surprise, bit of confusion, no actual denial. She doesn't remember giving birth to a spiked turtle during one of her stays in the Koopa Kingdom but it doesn't strike her as something that couldn't have happened either.

That or she was completely shocked by the notion. She didn't have any questions in the moment because it's so absurd she doesn't know where to start.

That's basically my interpretation. The other theory is fun to ponder for the sake of pondering, but it's probably just not what happened.

Honestly, that probably wouldn't be the weirdest thing she's seen in the Mushroom Kingdom. For all we know she gives birth to abominations of nature, like, every other weekend.

Are there even any humans around except the princesses and the two plumbers? Whom are they born from? Maybe they are the horrid unnatural monsters compared to everybody else.

Well, she is a mushroom, so she might have assumed that Bowser Jr. was a product of one of her spores.

Apparently more humans do exist in the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi are just the most commonly seen.

Other examples include Wario, Waluigi, and E Gadd.
