If I had to guess, I'd say it's a sai or something. I distinctly remember that he had a couple of those in his arsenal during the course of Cable and Deadpool.

Anyway, I've always wanted to see a real Marvel comic crossover between them and Capcom. Not like the flimsy one-off not-worth-the-money thing from the MK vs DC Collector's Edition, but a real, full multi-issue/book crossover, maybe even a multiple ones, with some characters interacting with some and others with others.

^ I actually heard that he was seriously considered for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. I think the reason they dropped him is because he would fight using words, which means that his attacks would be physically longer in some languages than in others, which would lead to balance problems.

That said, I heard on some other forum that the game will get a Resident Evil villain (Wesker or some other guy I never even heard of) and a Devil May Cry protag (either Nero or Dante. I like Dante more but he would be very difficult to translate into a fighting game character and Nero's character mechanics have already been reproduced nicely elsewhere so I kind of want him more. Now, if they managed to do a good Dante... ) and Iron Man is going to have an armor based on his Extremis look.

@Akaso Rekaso: "Confirmed" is a little strong, but I agree that's some very strong evidence that Deadpool's in.

I would really like to see Phoenix Wright as well. Even if they had to leave his Objection! dialogue balloon in Japanese (I would hope they got his english voice actor for the English version still, though).

I dunno, i'd prefer Von Karma over Wright. She already has her whip.

Also, it seems Super-Skrull is in the game.

How about Maya Fey, and she can channel the rest of the characters for her attacks. Okay, no they're not dead, but Maya turning into Phoenix ("Objection!"), Franziska (whip attack), Godot (throwing coffee), and Edgeworth (fabulousness) is a delightful image.

I wonder if Chris is replacing Jill "I'm a member of S.T.A.R.S.!" Valentine. Also, Manfred Von Karma needs to be a support character so he can taser people. I also wish the characters were in the hand drawn 2d of old.

This is the absolute best news I'be gotten all day. I wish it was coming to Wii (since I don't have a PS 3 or 360) but I'll find a way to play it. Can't wait to see who's in. Although Deadpool is, at this point, all but a sure shot.

Drawn 2D sprites? Considering both Tatsunoko and SF 4 didn't use them, what made you think Mv C 3 would?

I mean, it seems they've left that behind.

Cause it's Marvel comics which are drawn? dunno it'd be kinda neat to see high detailed sprites for the game but I won't complain about 3d models.

Chris is from Resident Evil 5, right?
