Oh btw, in the Coven, we're watching a crappy movie called Bedtime for Bonzo, in which a group of scientists attempt to teach a monkey human morality in an effort to prove that morals are learned and not hereditary. It was made in the 1950s and stars... Ronald Reagan. :/

...I just got an email basically saying that someone in an Asian country used my email to sign up an account on Tumblr. What the heck. (Full thing: 喂，歡迎來到 Tumblr！在開始之前，請先確認你的電郵地) Worst part is in a moment of stupidity I actually clicked the link (thank god it didn't give me a virus or something), so I think I just "verified" the account or something.

What should I do? Just change my email password and hope this is just a spambot or something, or what?

Plugged it into Google Translate. That's Chinese and it says "Hello, welcome to Tumblr! Before you begin , make sure your e-mail to".

Weird. This doesn't mean they actually have access to your e-mail. They may be using random e-mail addresses in the hopes that the people who have them will just click the link in them and activate the account, so the spambot can do its thing.

It's possible that the reason for using random e-mail accounts is so spambots can be less easily detected.

They keep changing their tactics. This is a weird one, but I think I see the logic behind it.

Just change your password, that's usually enough.

...so probably just an odd tumblr spam-bot. Alright, seeing as I don't care about Tumblr, that's relieving. Still changing my gmail password; been way to long (a good couple of months) since I did that, anyways.

I love how my school blocks Tumblr because it's "Categorized as: Porn."

Cracked is "Category: Tasteless". Blah. The fact that it mixes R-rated comedy, with tons and tons of personal life stories, means that the R-rated stuff defines it, apparently.

It's an irreverent magazine. I wouldn't call it humor anymore, since it's mostly news and opinion columns on current events that don't use a clean-cut journalistic voice.

Alright, so got into the account I accidentally validated and just outright deleted it. Was definitely showing the signs of a spambot, so didn't have much to worry about myself considering I don't use tumblr, but hey, one less spambot on any site ain't a bad thing.

To be fair, your school filter has a point. Have you seen some of the blogs out there?

My school's category for blocking tumblr is "Block Students."

Meanwhile, Deviant Art is not blocked at all, fully accessible.

... Such bullshit.

Which do you all think is more impressive: the Serengeti or the Maasai Mara? They're intertwined.

For some reason at my school Tvtropes isn't blocked. It really probably should be, considering how much of a distraction it is and some of the stuff on here, but eh, not complaining.

It isn't blocked at my school either. Maybe it's just not well known enough?

Deviant Art does have a lot of "art" that's "deviant". I hate the fact that it tends to have a reputation for that, since it's loaded with awesome stuff too, and I've commissioned an artist to do a webcomic for me that's been running for a few years now. There's real talent on there, believe me. But it also has lots of annoying crap, too.

I remember watching a Scooby-Doo episode when I was 8 or so. The culprit was someone who was using the classic "Scooby-Doo" Hoax to ruin someone's party. At the end she was arrested and supposedly had a community service sentence waiting for her. I remember thinking "Huh?!

Would that even be a crime? (I think it might be as the party-ruining was malicious in intent) What would a more fair sentence for that be? If I remember correctly no one was hurt and there was little property damage.

Could count as menacing. I'm pretty sure that's what most Scooby-Doo bad guys are guilty of.

The previous firewall the college Internet used thought that trying to post on the forums here was an attempt to use a proxy. To put the cherry on top, refreshing the interrupted page would allow the post to be posted like nothing had happened.

So right now I'm doing a playthrough of Life is Strange, and am planning to continue with Undertale soon after I'm finished with the former.

Popular indie titles like these (and others, such as Cave Story and Five Nights at Freddy's) all seem to offer certain good qualities regarding their respective plots that make them interesting to fans - in the case of LiS, this is almost certainly a given, seeing as how it's an adventure game. Of the examples I mentioned above, all - except for LiS - were coded and published by one person each, which makes them all the more impressive.

...home phone providers, perhaps an auto-reject feature would be nice for those robo-callers?

once that is provided, robo-callers will just begin to randomize.
