I think that the phrase should only be used in situations where it means something; like life-or-death situations or getting your score of 36 on the ACT revoked because you spelled your name wrong at the beginning.

on the little diagram that shows outlines of the orbits of the planets around the sun

most of the planets have a perfectly round orbit

but pluto’s orbit is oval/elliptical and actually overlaps with neptune’s orbit

does this mean there’s like a 1/1,000,000 chance that pluto could actually crash into neptune?

i know pluto orbits extremely slowly (it didn’t orbit once in the entire time it was classified as a planet that’s like 300 years) but just think about that shit

No, this will never happen. If Pluto's orbit weren't stable, it'd just get kicked out of the solar system.

I tend to find hearing a bunch of bashing even more annoying than a bunch of mindless gushing, but that's probably because I hate being around complainers.

I think it's because the complainers don't realize the irony of their constant complaining about the gushers. They end up talking more about whatever it is that annoys them more than the people who like it. Example: fanatical Twilight haters.
