I'd like to contain all discussion of what-is-wrong-with-tv-tropes/what-sa-has-noticed-about-what's-wrong-with-tv-tropes/how-poorly-tv-tropes-is-dealing-with-what-sa-has-noticed-about-what's-wrong-with-tv-tropes in its own thread so people in this thread don't have to look at it if they don't want to, but they get locked and deleted really fast.

As was pointed out nearly directly after, it requires basically minimal effort (three extra clicks, maybe four), and nearly anyone with knowledge of computers will know this and be able to do this.

So, it achieves basically nothing. Which makes it really difficult, because people also legitimately link here from their site.

But in wiki talk it will get locked and deleted in like five seconds. This is the only place I've seen where discussion of what-is-wrong-with-tv-tropes/what-sa-has-noticed-about-what's-wrong-with-tv-tropes/how-poorly-tv-tropes-is-dealing-with-what-sa-has-noticed-about-what's-wrong-with-tv-tropes has survived.

I swear, the best place to talk about this is actually off-site (SA or elsewhere), which is tragic because it is this site we are talking about. A site that doesn't invite honest and open discussion of what's wrong with the site, including what people from other sites have to say about the site, is a hopelessly broken site.

I really need to get my IRC on esper working so I can join #dramaroom already.

What exactly is the complaint? (And why did you bring it here if it already got deleted the last time you tried to discuss it?)

Okay, I am going to set aside my thoughts on the issue for a moment here, or at least try to.

If the thread about it in Wiki Talk got nuked, why would complaining about it in Random Thoughts do anything? I mean, I respect that we all need to let off steam every now and again, I do it too, but seeing it brought up if it's been made explicitly clear that it's not going to change anything I don't see how it's productive to complain about it here. If anything, this should be brought up in the Angst thread, since that's for frustration too.

I don't know if that makes any sense, I'm really tired. I just would really like this to stop before someone gets banned or something.

Discussion is not here to service you. And stop impossing on others what you want or not want to discuss.

And if it really bothers you that much, you can look at ponicalica's signature.

The complaint is that

A) A thread on SA's links to Tvt being bounced offsite was nuked

B) Said measure does not avoid goons from coming to the site. It is only tedious, really.

The fact of the matter is that goons are gonna mock us and I don't see why making the site tediously accesible, rather than easily would help to magically solve this problem.

Well, we could talk about it somewhere you can see it, or we could conclude that criticism (or for that matter, asking why) is not allowed and continue being bitter in #yackfest.
