Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

No, Tzetze is the smart one. Rationality = Smarty-pantsiness.
It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.I'm uncomputable, not rational. Sillies

[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Common sense, why do they call it common when almost everyone berates each other for not having it.
It's like communism in a way. It makes perfect sense in theory, but Stalin had to come and kill everyone and that is rationally the only flavour of communism the world can buy anymore.
The shelves aren't stocked with the good tasting communism, just the Stalin brand that seems to perpetuate the market.
Eh, it goes down great with some Leninade.

READ THIS COMIC. | Read along as I play through my games collection!Common sense, why do they call it common when almost everyone berates each other for not having it.
Because it is common, but it's badly worded? It should be "Use your common sense"

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.Computable vs. real number set: is it really meaningful to talk about real numbers that cannot be computed? It seems a bit like talking about a state of matter that cannot be observed.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit. And that's why I lean towards constructivism. But you can still define numbers you can't compute (like Chaitlin's). Now, numbers you can't define...

[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Numbers you can't define are not useful. Numbers you can define but can't compute are only useful in that they define a boundary condition. Chaitin's number isn't particularly useful, as it defines in a real number what we already knew in algorithm design: the halting problem is not solvable in the general case.
The halting problem, in itself, is only useful for telling us to create more specific strategies, to ensure that the subset of programs we produce will always have halting conditions.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Yes, but do «useful» and «meaningful» mean the same thing?
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.I'm not so sure about that. Useful things are meaningful, but the other way around may not follow.
That said, numbers that can't be defined aren't meaningful either.

Kill all math nerdsHe might have been trolling.

Kill all math nerdsHey, Myrmidon, how do you pronounce that name?
Mur-me-done?
That's how I'm pronouncing it right now, but even then I feel as though I'm not doing it justice.
Murder-down?
Murder-Town.
A massacre of the english language if ever I could insinuate across the fields.
The problem with communism is that it presupposes that everyone has the same values, and in practice, there's only oneway for that to happen; thus, all attempts at communism above the nano-scale are doomed to degrade into "Stalin-brand communism."

The Philosopher-King Paradox"How dare you hint or wisp a word about 'sixty years of age.' If I were near I would soon convince you that I am not above forty" - John Adams to his wife, Abigail.
Not sure if I wanted to read that.
Why are most women's clothes so ugly?
Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.Ugly is a YMMV definitely.
What did you see though, that provoked this response?
Which women?
More, I'd ask why there are so few clothing options for women that have freaking pockets.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.
And people call Tzetze the rational one?
I don't know.
Wait, blow up canada? how about no, and stop being Genocidal.
