No, it was a 29-foot cabin cruiser I'm afraid.
Oh well, I guess I'll play along.
Ahem.
Well, it was really important for us to see that everything was ok, you know? I mean, it wouldn't do to cancel the Christmas Viking raid just because of a little storm. The men are all pumped up and ready too.
Pillage, loot and plunder await us.

Behind window 11
It's Nazrin, festively clad and in a super sweet hat. Because she's Nazrin.

It's the 12th!
Santa Flandre is here to deliver a halfway-to-Christmas Eve present! A heartwarming one.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!I imagine having one's heart set on fire could be called that, yes.
It really is remarkable how much more badass having a Skull for a Head makes you.
Oh, the new mons are coming along fine, sir, it's just that this green kid with a hammer keeps trying to bash its head in with a hammer.
Hello child, your face pleases me. May I have it?

On the 13th of December
Marisa with a lantern◊ marks the festival of light on St. Lucy's Day, as is tradition in the Calendar. This Christian holiday has a special place in Scandinavian culture, where it's a celebration of light in the depths of winter and has been mixed with the local celebrations of Yule and Lussinatt.
EDIT: And on the 14th of December
A very festive Kogasa Tatara makes a surprise appearance.◊
EDIT EDIT: Now then, for December 15th
It's Hieda no Akyuu, looking out at the snow falling.

Stayed neither by snow nor rain nor technical difficulties nor darkness...
...Nue Houjuu takes her rightful spot in the Calendar! Was beginning to worry I had to skip a date in the calendar, what with avatar uploading being down. Good job admins for fixing it. So yeah, today's symbolism is letters, what with today being the last day that Norwegian postal services can accept mail and promise it'll be delivered before Christmas. But it looks more like Nue wants to deliver it in person...
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! That'd make for a memorable delivery.
You know, human, the proper response for getting a letter is "Thank you", not all this "How did you get in my house" business.

XD
The joke is that Tojiko looks like a daikon◊ with her white ghost half and green dress. So when she ran away, the thought she'd go back to her "kind" (which is what she's originally mad about). But they messed up, and mistook a turnip farm for a daikon farm.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!I thought it had to do with the ghost half. So she's angry that they think of her as a turnip and not a daikon? Protectionist to the last, isn't she.
Speaking of people and food...

No, first she's angry about them thinking she's a daikon. Then she's angry for them thinking she's mad about them going to a turnip farm.
Now, behind door 17...
It's Kanako Yasaka, goddess of the Moriya Shrine! Must be hard being a Shinto goddess this time of year, but she seems to be getting into it nonetheless.

So one side specializes in precise, discreet kills, the other in spraying mind-dakka in evvery direction and are trained to avoid said mind-dakke. Sad to see such a one-sided battle.

On the 18th of December, we get...
Holiday greetings from Reimu Hakurei and Rumia!
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! So you see, Rumia, Santa will only come when you close your eyes and go to sleep. In fact, many children wish the night would come faster so they can go to sleep earlier.
Is that so~
Wait what nononono-
...
*sigh*
Rumia, he can't come at all if he can't see you.
Is that so?
Yes. And get your teeth out of my leg, that's the kind of thing that gets you on the naughty list.

So. Shtyupid fat hobbitses elveses.
Could have been worse, I suppose. That detestable three-way subplot with the elf, the short bishie and the Mary Sue is resolved and doesn't take up as much time as the previous version. Also, if the first were said too look like video games, this one brings to mind RT Ses... except, of course, for those parts involving Legolas Batrida Towersmasha Gravitykilla Leafwotsgreen. Seriously, everytime he did something stupidly impossible, again, there was laughter and groaning heard throughout the theater.
Oh, and you remember Galadriel's little moment where the prospect of being the One Ring's sole owner goes to her head to the tune of "not a Dark Lord but a QUEEN, BEAUTIFUL AND TERRIBLE AS THE DAWN, TREACHEROUS AS THE SEA "? Nope, that's how she casts spells.
Oh, and eagles again. Now I'll admit that drawing out the battle instead of having Beorn arrive and fuck shit up as the bear-shirted people are known to do was a good move, but does every movie have to end with those?
Detestable? Eh. I thought it was fine.
Besides, I can't really complain about her being a Mary Sue when she's still very much a side-character.
I found it to be a very fun movie, even Legolas.
Conception is sin Birth is pain Life is toil Death is inevitableI liked it too, more than 2, at least. The Sauron sub-plot really paid off and the battles were pretty epic, but there were certain details that made me wince. The "were" in werewolf and the like means "man", and isn't just a prefix you can add in front of creatures to make them more dangerous! And also, eagles. Still, a lot of it got a pass through Rule of Cool and because it's supposed to be a bit more lighthearted than Lord Of The Rings.
Now then, on the 19th...
...it's Renko Usami, in a pretty and wintery city scene. It's supposed to represent the last day of normal schoolwork before Christmas break, and the chance to enjoy city-life, party and buy Christmas presents. But I've still got reading to do, so I'm cooped up inside with the procedural law curriculum. I'll enjoy the avatar instead.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!I'm done with finals so I'm mostly home free until new year. =P

Well, my vacation's started as well. So I'm free too.
Conception is sin Birth is pain Life is toil Death is inevitableIt's the 20th!
Now, there's been some strange occurrences related to my Calendar avatars. When I post snow-avatars, snow has sometimes come the same day. And when I posted the Santa Flandre avatar, I got just what I wanted for Christmas. So today I'm uploading this very festive Yukari Yakumo-avatar and crossing my fingers...
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!... I'm getting very Liefeldian vibes from it.
Huh. Should Komeiji and Reisen team up...
Perhaps you should change your location then (also I'm going to assume this boat was made of wood and had a dragon's head at one end and there is noithing you can do to stop me).
