Man, I played Beyond Good And Evil, and it was a fun game! I remember how I went through this one video game store, saw it, and decided to buy it, even though I had never even heard of it before. I'm glad I bought it!
I tell you, it's one of the few games I know of in which taking pictures with a camera is an essential part of the gameplay. I think the game totally deserves a sequel...because there are a number of details in the first game that seriously need to be explained! That Tomato in the Mirror twist at the end just seemed completely out of the blue...but then again, there were vague clues throughout the game indicating that something like this was going to happen. Also, the Cliffhanger with Pey'j having a Domz spore form on his hand sure raises questions. Sure, Jade brought him back to life, but the Cliffhanger seemed to make it look like a bad move on her part. Or Is It?
At any rate, you can see an old teaser trailer of the Beyond Good And Evil sequel right here.

Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!Pokemon Snap did the camera thing, too. :P It's different, but it does have predecessors and all that.
I wonder how the XBLA and PSN versions have been selling of late...?
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI bought the HD version on the PSN a month or two ago, and I have to say I really love this game. In fact, I 100 percented it. I love the world that this game introduces, and the characters are are really interesting and likable. Also, the animals were really cool.
Here's some interesting news. Anyone who preorders Rayman Origins from Gamestop gets a password for a free copy of Beyond Good and Evil HD.
I hadn't heard that yet. Cool! Of course, I'll be getting the Wii version, and even if I didn't, my friend's the one with the 360 and his connection to the Internet with it is tenuous.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaYeah, it is really neat. Unfortunatly, I already have B&G HD, so I'm probably not going to bother preording RO from gamestop.

Although, since what goof turns down a free game...
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaTechnically, that's just engine footage. Not the game in action.
Though Ancel says some interesting things, from the translation I can't find anymore.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaInterview about Rayman Origins, goes into a lot of detail about BG and E 2 development, inclusing confirmation that leaked video from years back was legit, and that the developers are waiting for the next gen to make it, and why.
DumboThey went to India for research, so there's that...
Jonah FalconYou know, I want to like this game but the stealth sections are almost ruining it for me.
They're easily the worst part of the game, like it makes sense in context but they're just not all that fun. Forced stealth sections are a major drag for me, probably why I hate playing games like splinter Cell and Hitman. I think it should always be an option, not a requirement. I'm at the alpha building in the town and it's just beyond frustrating, it's pretty much the biggest brick wall I've hit in the game yet. Shame because I really like everything else about the game, but the stealth sections are just ugh. I can only tell they're going to get more difficult from here on out if this level is anything to go by which kind of makes me not want to finish it if so.
I actually have to agree on the stealth thing. I fucking hated those parts, and just didn't exactly work that well, as the game wasn't built around stealth. It's like, I don't know, trying to fit a stealth mission in a Deadpool game.
EDIT: Also, I believe that mission was the last stealth mission.

Signatures are for lamers.Wait really? I would think the moon would have some. If so then that's a relief.
Nope, the Moon is mostly running around and space battles, no stealth.
DumboI'm surprised this has a thread.
Thanks to this video game music quiz I've been playing lately, I can't get that "Propaganda" song out of my head, since that track shows up a lot. I now also have the urge to play this again, but I'll have to wait until my PC graphics card is fixed (which will be whenever I'm not feeling lazy).

For we shall slay evil with logic...Propaganda and Spanish Bar are total earworms.
I tried listening to both the tracks out of context (i.e. on youtube)... I have to say that Spanish Bar is fantastic, Propaganda is annoying. But the game happens to be amazing.
So, apparently this exists.
Wow... I knew the game was a kult klassik, but I did not expect the previous post to not get replies for more than 6 hours.
Well, people do have kind of given up hope on sequel
Do you think Ubisoft will announce the game? I DON'T KNOW MYSELF.
need some help, if anyone's willing to listen
I had to use the Beluga to enter the Volcano, I somehow left the volcano without going back through the entrance apparently, and now the Beluga is stuck by that entrance (or somewhere, I have no idea). I'm not entirel sure what happened, but I can't find it anywhere and that means I can't progress any further in the game. Does anyone what I could do about it?
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat! It has been... what.., 14 FREAKING YEARS?!?!?
I personally hate the Darker and Edgier tone Beyond Good and Evil 2 looks like it's gonna have with the swearing. I've gotten sick of companies making most of their formerly cartoony and lighthearted franchises all excessively Darker and Edgier over the last 12 years.
Please tell me we know more about the sequel?
With the power of a dragon I can make up for my inability to spill.
