For that spoilered part, well, maybe, but it could just be that Joyce is super-stressed out over the situation.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Goddammit Nogg. Goddammit Mr. Zorilla (copypaste sentiments when necessary)
Gotta love when someone interrupts you and slows you down at whatever you're doing, just so they can tell you to do it faster.
And by love, I mean hate.
I didn't write any of that.I like that the storyteller of the comic strip is the one who is really telling this story about storytellers. So meta.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."I'm starting to think this Jabby fellow may not be entirely trustworthy.
I didn't write any of that.I don't think I can improve on Chris Baldwin's commentary below the comic: "Mauricio has officially thrown down the gauntlet, only it’s attached to his arm."
I didn't write any of that. You're never too busy for a fashion montage!
I get the impression that these are a bunch of shout-outs, but I don't recognize any of them.
I didn't write any of that.At least a couple of those look familiar.
Also, the "I'm with stupid" (points at Jabby) nearly got me laughing out loud at work.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Wezzle really is a great alien design.
I didn't write any of that.Getting acquainted with his new partners.
Wezzle has some kind of angle, and now I'm very curious to learn what it is.
I didn't write any of that.Aaaaand there's Wezzle's angle. He's setting himself up to be the one telling Jabby who to shoot. Now the question is, how long can he keep that up before Jabby decides Wezzle is an enemy of Justice?
I didn't write any of that.I suspect that Wezzle is just playing for time at this point, mostly to see if he can set things up so that there's an opening where Jabby is distracted by other things and thus Wezzle can slip away without getting killed.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. But Wezzle's only there in the first place because he weaseled his way into Jabby's team. Wezzle had the chance to walk away when Jabby commandeered his spaceship, and he talked Jabby into keeping him as the pilot instead.
Oh, yeah, this is the guy Wezzle is suggesting they kill. I'd forgotten about this page, and couldn't tell why the name "Gounder" sounded familiar.
I didn't write any of that.Jabby learns of another enemy of Wezzle's who needs to die. I mean, enemy of Justice who needs to die.
So now Wezzle's playing Jabby's compulsions against each other. Jabby seems almost incapable of admitting wrongdoings or mistakes. And Wezzle has manipulated Jabby into a position where he can't get rid of Wezzle without admitting that he made a mistake by getting manipulated. I wonder how much longer this equilibrium can hold.
I didn't write any of that. The problem for Wezzle here is that I see one major workaround, which would probably fall under Didn't See That Coming for him - namely, that Jabby can figure out a way to kill everyone at once and claim that it was an "accident" that Wezzle got caught up. Jabby might not want to admit to being manipulated, but it's quite capable of pulling off a few killings that it justifies after the fact.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I can't help wonder what Jabby got out of that exchange.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Wezzle actually had me going there, but upon further thought, he's probably trying to manipulate Mauricio now.
I didn't write any of that. Why? What advantage could that give him? Jabby isvery clearly the dominent member of the pair.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."
The bags-of-snakes might be more competent than we all thought. Joyce's head's getting foggy? Is that some kind of psychic effect to make people more accepting of the bags-of-snakes?
