New chapter's out.
Loved the cover.
I was pretty amused at Predator guy getting annoyed that Fugetsu's teleportation ability was spoiled for him, since Predator won't work if he already knows what the ability does.
Halkenburg continues to be amazing. I also loved how his new guy's ability referenced both Culdcept and Yugioh at the same time.
Seems like Halkenburg has had a bit of a Face–Heel Turn. He's playing to win now.
Disgusted, but not surprisedWas anyone else kind of upset that neither Razor nor the Phantom Troupe got involved with the whole Bomber thing on Greed Island?
I know it made sense, but still would have been interesting to see how Genthru matched up.
Maybe that's a reason I wasn't super into Genthru and his guys as antagonist - I kept feeling like people who could take his group fairly easily were around and just not doing anything.

He was a weird antagonist.
Then again Greed Island was a weird arc in general.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Don't remember any of the trio other than Gon having any real trouble either, though I might be forgetting something. I do remember wondering if Biscuit could have handled it herself if she went all out from the beginning.
No, that's basically right. The other two were "strong", but they didn't really seem to contribute much and were taken down really easily.
I don't think the story ever tried to hide that Genthru was like 80-90% of their threat level.

I'm sure Biscuit could've handled all three of them herself. It was treated more like training for Gon.
So... chapter.
Obviously their plan wouldn't work, but that's a little sadder/darker than I was expecting.

That's fucked up.
RIP Kachou.
I really liked the twins plotline, but I think it would have been slightly better if their abilities were swapped. Kachou's defining trait was her Jerkass Façade, so we spent half of the process left wondering if she really does care about Fuugetsu. If Kachou had the portal ability and went out of her way to save Fuugetsu with her, we would have a much clearer picture of their relationship much earlier. Also, Fuugetsu being the one to unconsciously make the copy of Kachou would amp the tragedy a bit more.
I really liked Kacho so while I am sad about her death, I am glad she will stay around in a way.
I disagree I think the way the abilities are set up work best like this.

You know this chapter help me realize why I am often ambivalent about Togashi's writing for Hunter x Hunter. (Well besides being too overly sympathetic to his antagonists and his general sense of misanthropy.)
He is a writer who indulges in cruelty and unfairness of a sort that unlike other Shonen series writers cannot be made right or fixed by the protagonists at the end of the arc. so after awhile of this sort of thing, It just becomes an odd sort of Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy for me where I can admit that the writing is intricate and clever but I don't really enjoy it all the same.

This Succession Ceremony is set up such that There Can Be Only One is strongly enforced. In the recent chapters we've learned that 1) A Prince can't commit suicide to escape the war since their own Nen Beast will prevent it, and 2) any Prince that tries to leave the designated battleground (in this case the ship) after joining the Ceremony will die after a short period of time.
The only possible loophole I can see that wouldn't require every Prince but one to die would be if a Prince simply surrendering to the others is an option — with the caveat that the other Princes would have to be willing to accept a surrender without killing the losers. And it seems like the Princes who are playing to win have every intention of killing the rest.

Disgusted, but not surprisedWonder if melody will recognize if its kacho or her nen beast
So I was watching some old episodes (or rather, reactions to them) and when talking about Killua's family I noticed something: there's supposed to be a grandmother, i.e. Zeno's wife?
Because outside of that one mention, I don't think she's ever been shown or even implied. I wonder what's up with that.

She hasn't appeared yet only maha, zeno's grandfather

New chapter:
So Theta's plan seems to be to kill Tserriednich once he's in Zetsu state and relatively defenseless.
If that is the plan I expect it to go horribly wrong.

Disgusted, but not surprisedOh that won't end well...
Two Nen Beasts? Oh jesus Theta is screwed.
Huh, I wonder how Hisoka and creepy serial killer Prince would get along well. Or be interested in killing each other. Either works.
