Damn. I liked both Kortopi and Shalnark. Why couldn't it have been Nobunaga dangit (though it makes sense, that people puppet power did do him in)

Having left it during the chimer ant arc I want to ask you something: does gon get better in the mental stability personality department in the following arcs? Or is he stuck at its "lowest".? Mainly because I hate dealing with deconstructions that involve no reconstruction a posteriori.

Short answer: yes.

I'm a bit disappointed with this chapter. Don't get me wrong, the content was fine in my book... but I'd have liked to spend more like 1-2 whole chapters on its own rather than an afterthought. Would have been cool.

Just finished reading the available manga chapters. It feels so WEIRD to be caught up with this series after this long.

Chrollo's fight with Hisoka was cool albeit a bit hard to follow.

I hope it's animated someday.

So, did they explain how Chrollo got his powers back?

We saw the spiders looking for a Nen exorcist. We saw them finding one. What else do we need?

I must have missed/completely forgotten about that When was that again?

When they were playing Greed Island. This guy used his ability the exorcise the Bomber's bomb and the Troupe later found him.

There was also an Exorcist called in to help Gon when he became a dried prune and all. She couldn't help, but I imagine what happened to Chrollo wasn't nearly so severe.

They explicitly recruited the guy from Greed Island. It wasn't vague at all.

That's the whole reason Hisoka was in the arc.

Anybody familiar with Toriko? I'm watching the Gourmet Hunter episode and wondering how well Toriko would fare in the hunter exam? Would he be able to pass?

Yes.

He'd probably Curb-Stomp Battle the battle portions and is smart enough to understand the mental portions.

Although, as the manga is now, not even Netero in his prime. would stand a chance in a fight with even the mid tiers of Toriko, let alone the top tiers.

So after watching the dub for the past few months on Toonami, I've finally got around to binging the sub because I was really getting into this series. Just finished the Greed Island Arc earlier today. So far I'm really loving the series. The Yorknew City Arc was probably my favorite arc so far, probably because Kurapika is my favorite character.

You are about to start arguably the best arc of the show and one of my favorite, if not my favorite, arc of any shounen ever.

I felt so empty inside when my brother and I finished it.

Just completed the Chimera Ant arc, and holy shit that was an epic. I think Mereum may be my favorite anime Antagonist now.
