Huh, new chapter eh? I wonder how many more chapters before hiatus continues
Blargh. Two chapters in a row full of impenetrable exposition. Someone want to help me make sense of went down in that meeting? And, while we're at it, figure out what 'V5' and 'Kakin' are?
V5 is like the Hunter X Hunter version of G8. Kakin is a country apparently ruled by Beyond.
I thought Kakin were inhabitants of the Dark Continent that could guide people there.
Also, "V5 is like G8" doesn't really mean anything without elaboration.

You could've just googled it. It's an organization of leading countries who get together and do international stuff. Think UN, except more oligarchy.
Fortunately I had you to tell me instead. So thank you.
Yeah I'm not going to lie I have absolutely no idea what's going on right now.]
Is that Beyond or not? Because last chapter made me think that something was controlling or impersonating him.
I'm pretty sure it really is him- that's why he agreed to let Cheadle run DNA tests on him.
Last chapter he was telling them to say they caught caught him, thus the quotation marks and referring to himself in the third person. Basically he was turning himself in as part of a Batman Gambit. Because he knew their hand would be forced by the V5.

Oh, that makes sense. Thanks.
Huh, so is that the guy Kurapika wants vengeance on? Or does he just want to the eyes back?
I don't remember the plot anymore
Wait. Isn't Kakin a country? Thats what google says

Kakin is a country, that recently introduced as the country sponsoring Beyond's expedition to the dark continent. The prince of Kakin is apparently a bodypart collector who owns most of the scarlet eyes of the Kurata clan, which Kurapika is searching for. He's not one of the Spiders who Kurapika expressly declared vengeance on, but still an enemy since he was their "buyer".
Leorio and Kurapika being Rat and Boar amuses me.
heh.how many chaps till ill sister guy bites it?
Secret SignatureHard to say. It's possible he'll bite dust as an afterthought of some greater event three chapters from now, but it's also possible that he's not going to die at all.
Didn't Gon's dad say that he wasn't going to let little sister guy come along now that he knew about that? Or just that he wasn't going to let him die?
He implied that he just wasn't going to let him die. He wanted him to live long enough to collect Beyond's payment, ie: to complete the mission.
Also Gon's injures were healed the fact he gave up the power to use nen was not.
You look happy, I can change that if you want.Huh. Prince guy is one really sick bastard. I mean, yeah, he collects body parts, but still sick bastard. Wasn't expecting him to be serial killer
You know what the thing about Ging is? The guy thinks so many steps ahead that you can knew make heads or tails out of whatever he's doing at the moment.
Like, why the hell is it so important to him that they all accept his money? It looked like he only introduced the idea to avoid violence, but now it seems like giving them money is just as important to him as being #2.
Receiving the money is a sign that you are accepting everything Ging is saying.
Did anyone notice this? http://imgur.com/ADJfjHT
He's just trying to solidify the trust of the team. There's nothing more unreliable than a promise, whereas an exchange of money creates a sense of duty. Not necessarily in the sense that paying people makes them less likely to betray you (actually, this is false since paying people makes them less loyal), but in the sense that he knows exactly where everyone stands. To someone stubborn like Ging it's an important part of establishing a relationship with these people.
So, how bad is this series really with hiatuses? I see that the last chapter came out like seven months ago, how usual is that for this series?
I'm thinking about reading this; I'll probably drop it but you never know.
how bad?
Hx H manga started in 1998 and got 32 volumes so far.Naruto started in 1999 and ended just now with 72 volumes. That's how bad it is... The latest volume ended the latest completed arc, just like the second anime did.Do yourself a favor and pretend the series ends with the Election arc,or else you will REALLY suffer...

But this is a monthly series isn't it? The two aren't totally comparable if that's true.

One of the expedition members turned into a zombie. He was the only "survivor". The things they brought back killed a bunch of people in bizarre ways (presumably nen) so they're keeping the corpses for study. Netero went there twice but refused to go back because there were no "enemies", merely "danger" (ie: he likes fighting people, not fighting for survival). Now that he's dead there's no more restriction on going there so his son is making an expedition, but Netero is also a sore loser so he posthumously ordered the Hunter's organization to set up their own competing expedition. None of the zodiacs want to go except Ging though, and he's Ging.
Most of the chapter was from the perspective of a government official from some kind of travel bureau being introduced to the dangers of the New World, which are apparently fictional Area 51 kinda top secret.
