So, what's the most difficult-to-achieve TF 2 achievement you have?

I farmed with friends for many of those. Mutually Air-Sured Destruction comes to mind.

I actually grinded without cheating the little slaughterhouse in texas and 1mill pyro damage...

That took forever. Wasnt hard but. It took forever. I also have every single achievement for the classes but lack the map ones. Basically, from the saxxy achievements and forward I barely have any since those maps I did not care a lot for. But the class ones I got all of them.

I have the Medic achievement Specialist (10,000 non-overheal healing done in one life), which took me 30 minutes, a Quick-Fix, and a team of mostly Demomen on Defense that were flattening the other team. And it's not an Achievement-achievement, but I was on a team that beat Meramus at Level 9, and it's recorded on my Skull Island Topper.

Next goal: find a friendly server, and see if I can convince them to help me earn the Rainblower taunt one. Seriously, that one's near-impossible to earn legitimately.

Go to an achievement map and spawn some puppet bots, all as heavies. Taunt away.

Bots don't count towards achievements.

Edit: Unless they're the ones that fake being players, but screw them.

Managed to get Best Little Slaughterhouse in Texas via legitimate gameplay... and that was before I got my Strange Southern Hospitality which has nearly 4k sentry kills on it... don't ask how many hours I've played engie... Other hard to get engie achievements I've gotten are Unforgiven (kill 3 enemies with Frontier Justice revenge crits without dying) and Death Metal (pick up 10,000 metal from destroyed building parts). Actually, I only have 4 more engie achievements to get... How the Pests Was Gunned, Honky Tonk Man, Circle the Wagons (almost done with that one) and (no So) Lonely Are The Brave.

I haven't gotten very many of the hard Scout achievements, but I did get Fall Classic by blasting someone down the endless fall on Helltower with the Force-A-Nature, which was hilarious to see.

My hardest Medic achievement is Trama Queen (deploy 3 ubercharges in less then 5 minutes and get 5 assist kills durring that time), but I got it by sharing one ubercharge between three different people at the same time, not making 3 separate ubercharges...

My hardest Heavy achievement is probably Vanguard Party (be the first person on your team to start capturing the first cap of a round).

The other classes I haven't played enough as to get their hard achievements...

If you happen upon a large group of cross-eyed snipers (as often occurs on some servers), Unforgiven is pretty easy to get if you're going the revengineer route.

But the ubers though, god. I can't count how many times I've been a second away from 100% and killed just before deploying.

Man, there's nothing as frustrating as cowardly pockets. You know, the people whom you Uber, and they stay back and refuse to cap the point or push the goddamn cart because I don't even know. Last time that happened I got so frustrated I switched teams and Ubered the other one to victory.

It is very annoying too, when I am ubered...as I run out of ammo as a heavy. I mean what do you expect!

To punch them with your fists?

That's your medic's fault. They should be keeping an eye on how much ammo their pocket has.

There's even an achievement for that! Hoovy punch two enemies to death while ubered. The ammo loss is worth it then.

Correction. Bots can work with achievements, as long as they aren't killcam or require specific weapons armed. Here's what you do.

Create your own server. Do this by pressing the plus button on the main menu.

Enter "sv_cheats 1" in the console.

Add "bot -class [class] -team [team]" for every bot you want to add.

Enter "sv_cheats 0" in the console.

Ener "retry" in the console.

Farm away! You can also do this easily with the actual bots with "tf_bot_add [amount] [classname]". Easy peasy!

Well, this whole thing emerged from a short trailer by James McVinnie, so there definitely will be a short. He claimed initially it would be eight minutes long, who knows how much longer it might be now.

Can't believe this took a whole year.

Apparently EOTL crates dropping in twos is a thing. I know this because it happened to me.
