Hyperdimension Neptunia - Game consoles personified

Asian English release was really well done. I have it and am near the end of the story.

So, even if they just copypasted it into the PC release, you'll be fine.

I'm more interested in Crystal, Seven Pirates or Castle Panzers coming over.

How is it?

Pretty standard DRPG with the First Crush Rub from Monster Monpiece added in for character recruitment. You need to use a character a lot to unlock various different moveset options, which are tied to 4 different costumes for them. Minor stuff about upgrading their rooms, etc.

My only real complaint is no option to skip the pervy stuff, because my arms got really tired after a while, and if you fail it then it takes a while for them to respawn. There can be multiple between the save points, so I end up doubling back to save just in case.

Shame there's no English audio, but it's a niche genre, so I can forgive it.

I'd be surprised if there was English audio. Hell, I was surprised when the Neptunia app had English audio.

I went and added my remarks from just now to my Steam Curator.

Still wish we had an English release of that on Android.

Man I was right about the Translation Trainwreck haven't even gotten to the first gameplay segment and already encountering typos and nonsensical lines.

That's disappointing, since that was not my experience at all on Vita.

Anyway, has anyone brought up 4GO's English date? It's October 10.

Now that I am into it its pretty rare. The real problem is the game has a loading screen freeze issue that I hope they fix.

There is no scan ability is there? knowing weaknesses would really help.

Stats don't increase as you level costumes up right? Its just the set change in values? Is leveling up fixed stats wise or based on which outfit you have on?

No scan ability. Stats increase as you level based on your costume at the time.

So don't have your warriors in their mage outfits or vice-versa at low levels unless you don't plan on ever using them.

So it seems that the first of the VR game's drama C Ds has been translated.

Despite having the same title format as the super lewd 4 Goddesses Online ones, this Nepgear focused one is more like fluffy shoujo stuff.

Considering that this is Japan we're talking about, that's actually a pleasant surprise.

About the censorship thing: When it came to Mugen Souls and Record of Agarest War 2, what was specifically censored in both was a bathhouse minigame. Record of Agarest War 2 just cut out the sections that involved the very young girl and Mugen Souls cut it completely because the protagonist looks, like, six due to the art style and it really is bad enough that it would have gotten the game an AO rating. Not kidding. Overall, both games lost about 20 minutes of gameplay combined.

Like, I get not wanting the games censored. But sometimes there's a very good reason for it and the game wouldn't have been allowed to be released otherwise.

In Agarest 2, the minigame was very important for getting the various endings, so it had a direct gameplay effect. Thankfully, they made up for the censorship by making that girl gain affection so much quicker that it became easier in the censored version.

"Fortunately" Mugen Souls Z only hid its true ending behind a little gauntlet thing that was bugged and nearly impossible in the localized version. Thankfully NISA fixed that but of course it happened after I had already sold the game because people online were telling me NISA was releasing game after game with huge bugs like that and taking forever to fix them. (I did manage to get the best ending but the postgame was impossible with that bug hence why I sold it)

So do people here play any other IF/CH games? This has been dubbed multiple times to be the de facto Idea Factory thread.

I was wondering what other games from them I might try.

.........This one isn't nearly as fluffy as Nepgear's CD. Much more lewd. Its about giving her a massage.

Question: in Rebirth 3's NG+, do the extra dungeons unlocked via plans remain or do you have to collect the plans all over again?

I'm a definite Uni fan, but that's a bit much. I did like Nepgear's, she's one of my favorite characters, Conquest ending be damned, because she's such a sweetheart.
