@Odie: Reminds me a bit of Colin's dancing bear.

Reaction Image RepositoryIt is a strange thing for a creator to be so wrong about the thing they created.
Well, the "G" in "gif" stands for "graphics", which would imply a hard "g" sound.
Reaction Image RepositoryThe 'P' In JPEG stands for 'photographics', so it means it is pronounced 'J-pheg', right?
I mean, I do pronounce with that "hard g", but this is a silly argument. Then again, it is a silly discussion to begin with.

I have gotten into more than one online argument about why Force Lightning is considered a Dark Side power and fighting over the pronunciation of .gif is too nerdy even for me.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.@Dorku: Are you for or against it being considered always Dark all the time?
It's been fun.Society has already decided that a soft g gif would be written jif.
nyo ho ho@Red Savant: Guaranteed dark. Power used by dipping your psyche into raw anger (see: several points in the Revenge of the Sith novel) should not be considered Light Side, ever.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.Society have also already decided that '.gif' is pronounced both ways.

Luke pretty much Force Chokes two Gamorrean Guards in Return of the Jedi doesn't he?
I mean, he Force Pushes them into walls, seemingly by the throat and in a manner that is basically choking them with the Force, based off their reactions.
Addendum: Heatth's the right one here. There are words starting with g that are pronounced soft; such as genuine. Society's decided nothing but that it's pronounced either way.

Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.Hm. To make this Homestuck-relevant, what would the characters' classpects be?
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.I guess Luke would be Lord of Hope and Anakin Lord of Rage. Maybe Heirs instead of Lords since they kind of inherit their positions from their mentors. I thought about Seer of Hope for Obi Wan but he played a fairly active role for his part so something like, Knight of Light seems more appropriate. Maybe breath. Seer of Hope seems to fit Yoda more than anything. Lord seems to fit Palpatine but I like the idea of him being a Seer of Rage to add to the duality of Luke and Anakin.

nyo ho hoI wouldn't actually call Anakin a Lord. He doesn't have control over his emotions; they have control over him.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.@Heatth:
1. A P is only pronounced like that when an H follows it, which it doesn't in the abbreviation.
2. It wasn't a serious argument to begin with.
Reaction Image RepositoryImp isn't willing to bugger back here so I'll tell you all he sees Anakin as a Bard of Space for him.
I'd see him more of a Rage guy frankly but I don't know how well that works for when he's actually Vader. Hm...
Luke is Hope, I think, and Obi-Wan being Light would make zero sense. Hope could work for him, and Yoda; if you think Seer would work, but be too passive, perhaps Mage is what you're looking for?
Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.I find it complete bullshit that you can win a game of SBURB but still be killed if you land on some planet with gunpowder and get shot while trying to help someone.
Follow my Tumblr.Them's the breaks. It's a reproductive system, not a gameshow.

Only if you get shot heroically helping someone.
If you are e.g. giving a hungry person a sandwich, and get "sucker stabbed"(/" sucker shot") by someone you were unaware of, chances are that will not count as Heroic, and you will revive, given that you are god tier.
I recall there was some Light-side analogue of Force Lightning in the EU?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Are you considering the full extended universe when you say that?
So whatever gets prototyped apparently has a very big mouth.
The music actually doesn't seem very Homestuck. Good, but not quite the same...
Heh, suddenly when I think of "point-and-click" I'm reminded of some old Humongous games I played when I was younger. Freddi Fish, Spy Fox, Fatty Bear...I wonder if Hiveswap is going to be as easy as those games? Maybe some combat, but mostly just exploring...
@Keybreak: Well, more than being point-and-click, those games were easy because they were aimed for children.
It's been fun.More A Lee Martinez. Both in the Helen and Troy setting.
Troy gets a nemesis
Going around saving the world is a good way to avoid less apocalyptic problems
Honestly, both a bit spoilery for the book.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
The programmer who invented the .gif format pronounced it like Jif, for what it's worth.
I didn't write any of that.
