Made a mock up in the sandbox: Holler Button. Anything need changing?
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.

Now, then, what now? It's been a while since I've done any sort of renaming. Purge the previous thread (Once we're sure we've got all the examples) and make the link?

Looks good. Where you say "mechanical" meaning "game mechanical" it might be better to say in-game.

Okay, so move the text from Sandbox to Holler Button, and cutlist Press X To Jason. Go through and change old inbound wicks from the latter to the former, or delete. Anything I'm missing here?

Press X To Jason has some inbounds, so we should leave it as a redirect. We can't change the inbounds cuz those are the off-site ones; the ones we change are the wicks. Also, remember to ask a mod to re-attach the discussion page to the new location. Other than that, yup, that's pretty much it. You should also leave a note on Renamed Tropes explaining the rename and linking back to this thread.

Alrighty, all wicks (Keep getting inbounds and wicks confused) have been changed or removed as appropriate, (Except for one it claims is in Ask The Tropers), Sandbox copied to Main, put in the Video Game Interface Elements index, and old name turned into Redirect. (Which I'm not too sure of, considering the new trope name doesn't even fit the old trope namer, but whatever.)

First a bit of Sincerity Mode - favorite TRS discussion ever, because of how much good discussion (even if nothing's actually been settled yet) that's happened.
The "defined as magical effect" definition may be the closest we get to a solid definition, although I worry that there's still an example that looks like it should go under Summon Magic but is somehow excluded due to that (perhaps related to Teleporters and Transporters). Regardless, a note to compare Holler Button to Summon Magic, with a brief differentiation, would be quite useful.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
