I believe you're right.
It'll stop me from bawling my eyes out like I did last night at least.
My videos give me something to work with: A blueprint to replicate my Fighter's costume.

So I wonder why DFO (apparently) didn't get as big in North America. Is it because Nexon NA marketed it poorly? Maybe it's because beat-em ups and anime style games just aren't popular in the west like they used to be (and I do think this is a real issue in gaming lately).

People had a laundry list of mistakes Nexon made.
I believe one of them was... Blocking off the continent of Europe?
I'm guessing it's because so much of the MMO market is wrapped up in current titles like Neverwinter/a MOBA/a MMOFPS or they're slobbering over either Blade & Soul or PSO 2 - which are coming SOON(TM).
Nexon being a bad company aside, I suspect the lottery-based system a lot of online games seem to have doesn't do great in drawing in a large crowd and retaining customers, it's good for getting "whales," so to speak to drop a lot of cash on every new release, but all the people I recommended the game to eventually got sick of all the neat stuff being behind not only behind a paywall, but rng-based.
It's successful in Korea since that seems to be accepted for people to spend entire paycheck's on stuff like this but maplestory aside, doesn't seem to help much here.
A love that crushes like a mace.Well, here's hoping a better company publishes the game in NA.
I know that PSO 2 has a fan made english patch which I've been playing on and it's been okay so far. I wonder if the same could be done for DFO.
Would be nice if it had avatar items that granted no in game benefit and were a lot cheaper.
Small transactions that have little effect on the game are usually the best way to go, it seems.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderI never once heard of Dungeon Fighter Online, besides the one time my friend mentioned it offhandedly. No ads, no fans talking about it... I'd say it was the marketing, yeah.
Probably a vicious circle. Nobody plays it because Nexon doesn't advertise it, so nobody plays it, so Nexon thinks it's a lost cause and doesn't advertise it...
A damn shame, really. It's a wonderful game.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderThe best.
It's the best game.
Damn straight! The only MMO that could hold my attention, and considering how scatterbrained I can be, that's quite an accomplishment.
If only my netcode was decent, I could've ran the lot of you through the game (or at least to Ghent). Damn peer-2-peer shit.
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.Yeah, I probably could have ran people through the game too. My Asura was in the 60s.
I also would have liked the opportunity to duel Shirow in Pv P a couple of times, too. Ah well, wasted opportunities...

One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderI've onlyu seen the lottery thing work in two games myself. neverwinter and Star Trek Online. STO it only works because the game is good enough regardless of the lottery that you dont feel like you're being utterly coerced into needing lockbox ships.
Neverwinter because whaling. Looots of whaling due to name recognition.
"Hello all, We hope the following addresses some of the questions you may have about the Alpha Test!
- It is an OFFICIAL TEST directly run by NEOPLE, the developer of Dungeon Fighter Online.
- We have closed the test webpage for now, and it will be reopened tomorrow. Come back tomorrow and start downloading the game prior to the test opening on 15th May.
- As mentioned before, it is only an “ALPHA TEST”, so please note we may bring the server down at any time without prior notice.
Thank you so much for your support Please join us in the Alpha Test of the global Dungeon Fighter Online on 15th May!"
OH MY GOD
Where'd you get this message? And have you determined its legitimacy?
https://www.facebook.com/dfoglobal?hc_location=timeline
Their facebook page.
People have determined that the link (down for now) is digitally signed by Neople and the domain name is registered to their Korean offices.
So either its legit or one hell of a scam.
It has to be legit. Otherwise, I wouldn't be downloading their client at this very moment, or it would have takne my computer over with viruses.

YES
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderIt's legit. Servers are live. DFO is back, baby!
PRAISE BE TO G.S.D.!
So, did they make it available for Latin America yet?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Seems to be a international release, or at least, no IP-Blocks for now
The good news is, the alpha is popular enough to have pretty much all of the server filled.
The bad news is, the alpha is popular enough to have pretty much all of the server filled, to the point where it seemed a few channels exploded out of existence.
Well I got to play a little bit, hopefully Neople manages to expand it more during the alpha so everyone can get their DFO fix.

Considering that the facebook page calls it DFO Global, I think the no-ip block thing is going to stay.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderI'm playing Dungeon Fighter Online again.
This is the best day ever.
Nekket be your recruiter yo.
Dn F is still incredibly active over in its home country and has even gotten some major updates.
DFO won't be gone forever. The question is when and how it will re-emerge.
