Say, Big Bean, where you planning on sending Toph? If it was to Republic City, would you object to me having Sam pick her up on his way out?
It's just that for all his big-bad-killer bullshit, at heart he's the kinda guy who pretty definitely wouldn't leave a kid behind if he could possibly help it. He'd also want to keep her and Sokka safe, and to his mind having them with him would be the easiest way to do that.
...Stiiiill dunno what to do with Gavrill. What's a non-contrived reason to send her to the spirit world?
Curiosity about the taste of things living there?
Somebody forcefully dragging her, kicking and screaming, to the Spirit World when she decides to do something that's gonna cause the situation at the Ice Palace to be worse?
"Well before, I did it with reckless abandon. Now I can't control myself!" ~ Jesse Cox, 2014Well-timed boot to the fundament?
Her old student (supergirl) going there?
Btw I am working on our collab stuff. I will give you the link later.

Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.Should I expect a Vaas post anytime soon, Mal, or can Lancer inflict violence upon this hapless mook?
'Being around you guys makes me go "wtf" instead of pondering the ever increasing dread of time' - EchoingSilence, 2023This hapless mook that has displayed magic, literally the only thing that can harm a Servant.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Actually, human magic doesn't work all that good against Servants. Less so for Lancer, since his Magic Resistance is only Rank C, but a fireball ain't going to do much against him. Stupidly complex Nasuverse lore dictates that it cancels out spells with a chant of three verses or below, which probably means 'spell with three lines of prep time' in the wider context. Also, rune-inscribed jumpsuit.
...Which, for game purposes, only really wards off the more overtly magical effects of magic, like hexes and the like, but he can still stab Sy in the pinkie/vitals/vulnerables before the dude has a chance to twitch his arm. As demonstrated by the poor ninja. Sy is not a ninja, nor is he leaping at Lancer from cover of darkness. He's standing right in front of him.
TL;DR - Lancer can catch on fire, but SY'S TOO SLOW. Don't worry, he won't die. Or even be scratched. As I have noted, you love your mooks.

'Being around you guys makes me go "wtf" instead of pondering the ever increasing dread of time' - EchoingSilence, 2023Going after someone she hates? Like... Donatello?

Fletcher wants to go secret strand. Mordin will stay in Republic City
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Does Gavrill still have her grudge against Maria?
Wizard Needs Food BadlyI'll try to get on the Vaas thing, but go HAM anyway.
Nah, I'll wait. What I have in mind might be a bit awkward unless Vaas gets his piece in first.
'Being around you guys makes me go "wtf" instead of pondering the ever increasing dread of time' - EchoingSilence, 2023Toph is going to Republic City because it's a city of metal and there's signs of her badassery everywhere. That and Sokka is going there.
Donatello is actually going to the Spirit World, so you guys' plan to have Gavrill go after him can work.
There are multiple reasons for normal human magic being bad against servants, to start there is because Nasu Human magic is mostly fake. For instance, generally when a human creates fire the 'only' thing it does is burn while its there. It lacks smoke, convection heat, residual heat, and various other small details due to a lack of prana, modern magical power, and skill.
Second, in Nasu mechanics Human Magic is completely 'effective' against Servants without Magic Resistance. That is, it would certainly work if the human in question hit the servant in question with a clean hit to the only two areas on a servant that actually matter, the heart and head. Nasu already showed at least one prime example of a human's firepower being able to kill a Servant, Rin. But generally servants would easily dispatch human magi because of how many fold stronger and especially faster they are compared to most magi.
Third, Nasu is full of opinions based on the visual novel, anime, etc.. so take this at the value of opinion.

So, anti-Servant tactics for Tesseract's forces are the same as anti-Superman tactics: Spam the magical death lasers.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Don't anti-Superman tactics usually boil down to 'fail miserably'?
yes
And then there was silenceSuperman is that odd character where people define him more by his failures and weaknesses than by his successes and strengths.
Which is sad, really.
That's probably the price of being too dang powerful.
"Well before, I did it with reckless abandon. Now I can't control myself!" ~ Jesse Cox, 2014... no, I think it has more to do with the fact people adapting Superman into mainstream media have no idea how to handle his characters.
wasn't there a thing where he took care of shazam/captain marvel after he learned how he's basically a kid
And then there was silenceSuperman has no immunity to magic, magical death lasers slice through flesh/steel/concrete easily, it's a winning combination!
In reality though, we'd literally toss every magic-capable Overlord at him.
Sorry for the lack of posting folks. I'll rectify that tomorrow.
In other news, there's this!
