Wait, does that mean that after ten minutes the chimes will disappear off the map, or that after 10 minutes without getting a Chime Bard will lose his/he'll lose the effect of one chime ten minutes after getting that chime?

What is the rate of Chimes spawning then?

EDIT: [up] I'm not sure either. My read of that meant that each chime lasts 10 mins and, after 10 mins have passed from collecting that chime, its value disappears from your counter.

I.E. I collect 1 chime. In 10 mins from my collection of that chime, the value will drop by 1. Each chime basically being an individual 10 min buff.

I read that as he randomly causes Chimes to spawn on the map which last for 10 minutes each, so there is a limit to how much can be on the map at the same time.

I think he is meant to be a roaming support who constantly wanders between lanes to collect chimes and plant health shrines under the towers to sustain his allies.

I'm worried that there will be (bad) players more concerned with finding Chimes than actually helping their team. You know it's gonna happen.

Also, if he's THE Bard, does that mean Shakespeare has returned?

Bad Threshes open themselves up for harass. Bad Sonas randomly push my lane. Bad Jannas sit at tower and occasionally shield. It happens.

[up] She is. It was funny, we got two DJ Sona in the same Team Builder game. The skin's alright, but I'm not rushing to buy it.

In other news, got a glorious return in PVP. There might be hope for me yet.

Just look at this graph, it says it all. That we won was a goddamned miracle after all the feed their Quinn and Nocturne got early. But fortunately, they didn't focus me as Viktor and instead they all died.

So that was great.

Favorite moment of the match: Being pulled by Blitz beside a fed Quinn (and Blitz himself of course) and walking away with an assist.

Second favorite moment: Quinn tried to bait me into face checking a bush where she had 30% health. Only issue is that there was a ward. A vision ward. Good job giving me a free kill, Quinn.

played against quite possibly the worst jax i've seen in a long time as nasus top. used his skills at weird times, had a really weird build, and did not stop me from farming at all (zed mid and kha jungle), and bot and mid both won so despite having an ad only team we won the game pretty easily.

i tend to have a pretty passive playstyle due to me being paranoid at missing cs and having poor mechanics, so i like champions where farming and playing passively is encouraged (nasus, jax, etc). seriously if you guys want a top lane where you will eventually win no matter what (unless you get gnar or teemo in your lane in which case i feel bad for you), play nasus.

Speaking of feeders, both NA and EUW is reeking of them that I'm fearing that my recent Platinum IV will degrade back into Gold I. Although some plays, even with a 4v5, have resulted in wins because our ADC is fed.

And, speaking of DJ Sona, she's so awesome!

I just ADC'd as AP DJ Sona with 15/7/20 and it was amazing. I just pressed Q and Auto'd and they died.

Just played a game as Jungle Bard. Your first clear takes YEARS to complete, but your ganks are pretty damn amazing coupled with the fact that chimes and w give you the most free sustain in the jungle I've ever seen.

Gotta give this Blitz credits, he could feed kills to their bad Quinn very well and gave zero death.

This one gets to get away with "God Hand" in his pseudo.

I was playing DJ Sona last game with a Cait as my ADC and she was pissed and throwing a fit that I didn't build a Mikael's first. Against a team with no CC. And all I had built was a Sheen. MY MAIN ITEM.

It's not generally considered a 'support' item. It's very good on Sona, since most of her laning advantage comes from poking and bullying, but it's still a primarily damage item for a primarily non-damaging role. Frankly even without CC on the enemy team I'd have built my gold-gen item or Sightstone first.

Frankly, Mikael's is useful even if the enemy team doesn't have CC. It gives a shield, a heal, and mana regen and cooldown reduction. It's got everything a support could ever need.

I'm not saying you made a bad decision on that buy, per se, but I could easily see someone unfamiliar with the champion being confused by it, and frankly it's not really necessary until the mid-to-lategame anyways - Sona's poke damage is pretty huge in the early game, so unless you were already pretty far ahead and wanted to just completely shut them down(Which isn't impossible; Sona and Caitlyn form a great bully lane), the early benefits from Sheen are outweighed by the early benefits of Mikael's. Sona's biggest early weaknesses aren't power, they're cooldowns and mana.

Maybe if you were like 5/0 in 10 minutes I can see it, but you don't really need the sheen as much as you can get chalice for mana or straight ap / cdr to poke more.

I got a sheen when we were having a good bully lane. Then Cait fed (which lead to me feeding while trying to keep Cait alive) and it got to mid game where the best I had was still the sheen, boots, and the frost queen's thing that you get early game because I had no income.

If all I could afford were boots and a sheen, I have no clue why she expected me to buy a a Tier 3 item. Additionally, I'm usually good about managing my mana as long as I don't have some stupid ADC that thinks 'Sona? Great, I can take whatever damage I want".

Sheen does amazing things to Sona early game. Little bit more mana. Great Lane bully. I've tried building her more supporty and it never goes well. I typically don't end up doing as much as I should be doing.

For additional info, the Cait seemed to think that building AP at all on Sona was a bad idea. Except, the more AP I have, the healthier you are...
