We're going to need this thread sooner or later, so I figured I may as well make it now.

What art do we have already? Is any of the older stuff still usable?

I'm not feeling very artistic at the moment, so I used Lunaii dollmaker, but this is roughly how I picture Cody.

Obligatory link to a page that is several months out of date: Concept Art Descriptions.

I'd have thought a character's appearance is likely to be more or less fixed, save for little details like Murky having a whole set of weapons on her (which would be replaced with just a naginata).

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...

In most cases, I think the basic appearance has been fixed, but there has also been some recent discussion of changes. For example, arks is now Asian, and Ironeye's ancestry has been a topic of discussion (potentially leading to a change to his physical characteristics).

Anyway, we need profiles for everyone. Someone (that means you!) needs to go and add them.

I've written up Cody's description, but I'm stumped for height and weight, because I am totally clueless here with regards to normal measurements. The main thing is that he's tall, broad shouldered and athletic.

arks would like me to remind everyone that choosing a face shape is very important. You can follow the link in his character's description to get a list of shapes.

I have and thus Matrix has an oblong face shape.

I don't care if you note it here—adding it on the page is the relevant part.

Which is the part I did first. I may be ditzy, but I'm not stupid.

Are we allowed to leave that detail up to the concept artist? If I'm not mistaken, they would be familiar with a general overview of a character at the least, and would be better qualified to pin down someone as, say, "round-faced". Better qualified than me, anyway.

Well, yes, you could leave the option up to them if you don't have something particular in mind. Just remember that you have forfeited your right to complain about facial structure. grin
