Are we talking about Agony or his review for "this week"?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The one for this week, about E3.
I don't know why this thread is always a week behind.
Optimism is a duty.Because The Escapist's website publishes the reviews a week ahead of their release on You Tube, but I'd dare to say that most of us watch them on the latter platform.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Oh, I see, I always watch them on The Escapist.
Optimism is a duty.I used to frequent that site like a decade ago. Used to be a haven of quality content like Extra Credits and Jimquisition.
Is Critical Miss still up there?
" quality content like Extra Credits "
hehehehehehehheh
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Nope, Critical Miss got purged like the rest of non-Yahtzees.
Also, Extra Credits is... yeah. Might wanna update on the news a bit...
What is the news on it?
Optimism is a duty.@Mr.Badguy
As far as I'm aware, the only two people left on the Escapist's payroll are Yahtzee and Jon Markley (their main Twitch guy) - and I think only Yahtzee is an employee with a fixed salary.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Details on the Extra Credits thread, but they've been hit by two main allegations - that one of their main staff members (basically the guy who runs it) is a massive douchenozzle and that their Extra History videos are seriously flawed in terms of historical accuracy.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Jeez, you can almost hear the water lapping at the edges of the ragged hole in the side of that giant boat full of money.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Defy Media (the people behind the Escapist) are infamous for not paying people on time - so the first time this happens to Yahtzee might be when he'll to board a lifeboat.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. They can't be so idiotic as to think that they'll remain in business if they stiff their last productive content creator. Okay, sure, they can be that idiotic, but it would be kind of sad.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Sadly, some people really seem to think that they can get away with such things indefinitely.
Optimism is a duty.Heck, that's why Extra Credits and other people left in the first place. The Escapist has been hemorrhaging people for years until they simply fired everyone except two people.
Just check their website - it's a barren wasteland only inhabited by Yahtzee. I assume they fired everyone else because having the website be Zero Punctuation-only was more profitable than having to pay additional people for writing articles.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Speaking of burns, jeez, that jab at games journalists in the Agony review is some Dresden shit.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.What were they? I've forgotten already.
P.S. I checked out the front page of Escapist website (I usually go straight to ZP) out of curiosity, and man is it hilariously empty. Most of the days on their calendar are blank. I never actually paid attention to the non-ZP features, but I do remember that they used to at least have them.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayYeah, it does look pretty weird with just ads for Yahtzee.
Optimism is a duty. The Escapist is, quite possibly, little more than a tax scam for mobsters.
That feels insulting for actual mobsters, more like a tax write off
New theme music also a boxI suppose Yahtzee couldn't be bothered to look up Vampyr, or he would have seen that that was the title of a German vampire movie. And vampyr was definitely an acceptable term for the creature at one time.
Optimism is a duty.Yeah, sometimes he really appears to not have done the basic research.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. There was also a German opera called "Der Vampyr", so this title is definitely in some good company.
Optimism is a duty. Then it would have been an appropriate title had the game been set in Germany. But it wasn't.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"
The sound on his videos is still broken, by the way. I wonder if they will ever fix that.
Actually, from what I saw over at the Fallout 76 thread, people are indeed being quite critical of the game.
