Hopefully, we won't have another Internet Tough Guy threaten to sue Firaxis because the game won't run on his under-spec system.

I'm guessing that maps are going to be comprised of far more tiles now that combat will be spread over a far greater area. Otherwise I think we might see cases where entire armies are spread over hemispheres and the map becomes one large battlefield instead of having wars contained to a few strategic tiles. At any rate this sounds pretty great, not to mention that I AM VERY HAPPY FOR THE ABOLITION OF TRANSPORTS.

^ I lol'd at "George Washington's Uncle Slam Attack."

Anyway, the thread I linked to gets really good on the second page when the thread creator gives us this gem:

Anyway, once again, the point of this sort of lawsuit is not for us to get rich. It's to make sure that companies aren't making money off of the inability of the individual consumer to fight for his rights. Those of you who think it's silly might also have laughed at the Civil rights movement. You probably think Rosa Parks could have found a better way to get a front seat on a bus, or should have just learned to live with her low position in society.

Oh, and on the ninth page?

By the way, after several hours of work, I finally got Civ4 working on one of my machines. I must've experienced half the bugs named on the tech support forum. I'm afraid I'll be too busy playing to attend to my class action lawsuit - someone else will have to take over. I still think someone should hang for letting this game get shipped. I have no doubt there are a plethora of bugs awaiting me, but at least the game runs... only took me 3 hours.

Can't wait to get my new computer in about a month. Then I can finally play Civ IV with full map size on the slowest imaginable speed. That's to say, Marathon with the "Real Epic" mod. It takes 200 turns to get your first tech.

That's how real men (and women) play Civilization.

One turn is one year. Because my civilisation is pretty damn developed, I usually reach modern day around 3000 BC.

If there's one person out there fit to replace Leonard Nimoy, it's Keith David. He was born to read quotes at aspiring world-conquerors.

That's because Keith David is the VA for Captain Anderson, the main character's CO for the first part of the game and ... aw crud

Who are the other voices? They sound awesome.
