Missed it due to mother being annoying.

Anyone know where I could watch it now?

Never mind, I just found it.

I was sort of annoyed at Huey never actually speaking on the election, felt it was out of character.

I did like how they portrayed all Obama's supporters and opponents as not actually caring about any of his policies.

^^ Again, the episode wasn't really about Obama, the same way the MLK episode wasn't really about MLK and the R. Kelly episode wasn't really about R. Kelly. Mc Gruber's criticism is of how willfully ignorant society can be.

And they showed Mc Cain supporters to be just as ignorant and self-righteous.

Good Lampshade for that Hilarious in Hindsight!

Also:

Granddad and Riley both are overjoyed with the new President-Elect. Granddad expresses that Obama is going to lower his taxes (which he won't for people at Granddad's income level), that he will be against corporate bailouts (which he is for), and that he will withdraw American troops from Afghanistan (he actually increased the number of troops there).

I personally was not disappointed by the season premiere. But you do have to wonder how that episode would of gone down like if Mike Caesar had been in it. I hope he shows up early, and in more than one episode. Also that song had me in pain from laughing so hard (better yet I was LMFAO throughout the whole episode and at the same time really thinking about the message, only Mc Gruder could make me do that).

I feel stupid asking this, but... who's this Mike Ceasar everyone's talking about?

He's the other guy.

He's basically Huey's straight man, and the guy who stops him from getting too extreme, jaded, or full of himself.

He's got the same outlook as Huey, but more laidback: instead of righteous/cynical anger and he's got cheerful/cynical humor.

I wish they had actually said what Huey's problem was, instead of having him act passive aggressive. I thought it made him look sort of look arrogant, especially that part about "...if nobody's going to listen.", like the problem wasn't about how everyone was acting towards Obama, but that nobody was listening to Huey.

Poor Thugnificent. I don't see why the record deal fell through, its not like he was the one who pulled a gun.

That last episode was uncharacteristically weak. Thugnificent really is only really interesting when he's intersecting with one of the Freemans' plotlines. Riley was just there to hold Huey's Sanity Ball(a role that he isn't particularly suited for), and Ed III was just wasted as a Diabolus ex Machina.

This show is still about Huey, right?

That is true, the GCA was the best part of an otherwise lackluster episode.

It was a good way to wrap up Thugnificent's character.

The Gentleman crackhead was funny as hell, hope he appears again.
