"See the goal, believe in yourself, ignore the obstacles" - CharodeiThanks!
I'm baaaaaaackI'll wait until the World of Warships beta comes around. I really don't care very much for dogfighting with a keyboard and mouse, nor do a I plan to get a joystick.
I got the Wo WP invitation, and I'm terrible at dogfighting. I'll just stick to blowing up ground targets.
Am I awake or do I dream? The strangest pictures I have seen.I'll probably do the same. In WOT, I play arty for similar reasons.
I'm baaaaaaackGet a heavy. Head-on-pass, clobber someone with thirties or twenties, dive out and hunt ground targets.
Nous restons ici.Basically doing that. I run the carrier fighters to learn how to dogfight while still earning exp. from ground targets. I find that sometimes, the Heavies are flat-out superior to the actual ground-attack craft in ground-attack. Carrier fighters are just better 'cause they can carry bombs. Often, when I'm in danger, I jettison all of my bombs to save weight. I may not kill them now, but I might live for another three seconds. Speaking of heavies, I find that it's easier to kill an enemy by letting the gunner do it then by actually actively killing them.
I play SPG 'cause it's simple, and I still help out my team. I also like to play with Light scouts every so often, trying to see if I can live longer than 90 seconds.

Am I awake or do I dream? The strangest pictures I have seen.0.8.0 is getting ready to hit the servers. read changelog now.
"See the goal, believe in yourself, ignore the obstacles" - Charodei...I don't think I've ever played or even heard of Fjords before...
Here's something I found on the Wo T forums. thought I'd post it, since it gave me a few laughs...
1. Thou Shalt Not Team Kill. No offense is greater in the eyes of thine team, nor grievance great enough to justify slaying thine own. If the retch turn blue, strike him down, for he is an abomination, but neither grief nor TK if mere offense is given.
2. Thou Shalt Not Cry Out "Hacker!". There is no hack, for thine is the kingdom of the server side. Thou ye know not how that artie reloaded so quickly, or that heavy doth strike you down even though you totally had cover, it is not a hack, but skill, thine enemies skill. Learn from them, so that ye may one day strike down thine own enemies with similar mad skillz.
3. Thou Shalt Not Take Thine Own Life. For all life is sacred, with the obvious exception of yon red infidels, and only thine wife's lament that ye are late for dinner with the inlaws shall ye rush out midfield in Malinovka. All else is sin.
4. Thou Shalt Not Platoon With Tier Ones Unless Ye Be Tier One. For the Children of Wo T are many, and naive, and have neither shield nor sword, and though they may desire to see the great and ferocious Maus on the field of battle, verily, it is a move more like the behind of a mule to bring one in to a match.
5. Thou Shall Be Useful. All tanks are worthy in the eyes of the Maker of Matches, unless they beith loltanks, and though ye cannot pen, and lament that ye have no purpose being here, take heart, for you can scout, or distract. Be not craven and hide in the corner, but strive, and in doing so, vex thine enemies. If ye are small, then thy repair costs are but a pittance, and your death but a minor thing. Your wreckage may serve as a haven for those who still strive for the victory which will surely granteth you too the boon of xp and creds.
6. Thou Shall Take Responsibility. Thou shalt not claim thine team arises from the land of the noob, for rarely is a loss not also your fault. Nobility in defeat is greater in glory than nobility in victory.
7. Thou Shalt Not Order In Pubs. Though many have worn the crows and chevrons of war, none do so in Wo T, and no prince nor king can lay sole claim to the green flag. Order not thine team to do this or that, even if ye be a master of Wo T, none is so great that they cannot utter the word "please".
8. Thou Shall Back the Play of The Big Guy. For though none command, there are those that sit upon high, and they are the point of the spear. If they strike alone, all is lost. Let them not wander in the wastes of thine enemies, but follow with sword in hand, and strike down the unrighteous.
9. Thou Shalt Not Blame Arty. Artillery is the hand that reaps the enemies in the field, it is the fist that punishes the arrogance of Men. Seek the shelter of stone, of buildings which are not destructible, of the shadow of the hills, and the hand shall pass over you. Move, for the eye of artillery detests the stationary, and will strike down those enemies who linger. Curse neither arty which has struck you down, nor curseth the arty which cannot strike the tier ten Leviathan on the other team. Much goes into the striking fist of arty, and when the blow lands, it can be mighty, or it can totally whiff. Such is the way of the world of tanks.
10. Thou Shall Remember This Is Just A Game. While thee may have paid cold hard cash, still the striving within are not real. Wars rage for real, and real people die, and many go without food, or freedom, and nothing in this game is nearly as important. Thou art blessed with the monies to have a PC, while many go without even a roof. Nor playest this game when thou has the opportunity to get you some, nor at the cost of thine friends and family, who are real. If rage within you cannot be contained, and your lamentations arise with much profanity, perhaps the time to stop is nigh upon you.

I think number 10 should be taken as universal on games, maybe even printed on the box itself.
I'm baaaaaaackDoubt it; a lot of MMO are closer to being at least a hobby.

Nous restons ici.Well, ver. 8.0 is finally available for download! Not gonna be able to finish the download in time tonight, but I'll find out tomorrow.
Funny battle: was on ARL against KV-1S and -2, and then ELC arrived. In short - it just banged itself to death against me. Even smallest touch = 10-20 hp.
"See the goal, believe in yourself, ignore the obstacles" - CharodeiHmm... Maybe I'll just sell my ELC. I didn't like it anyway. Hell, my favourite thing about the ELC is oneshotting them with my KV-3's 122mm D-25T.
Was the D-2-5T ever a thing or is that just a gun WG made up for balance? I mean, if I search for it, the D-25T/A-19 is all that comes up.

It's possible they just added an extra slash for some reason, possibly copyright
I'm baaaaaaackI doubt it, seeing as they also have the D-25T (the tank version of the 122mm gun A-19) and the only in-game difference is rate of fire, which can be done by tank anyway.
D-2-5 is -25's pre-serial version, mostly different breech, hence reload speed (doubled RoF in RL) and muzzle brake.
Arty + physics v. T-50-2. Evasion, self-defence.

"See the goal, believe in yourself, ignore the obstacles" - CharodeiHuh, I'd think they'd depict the muzzle break difference then, but at least on the KV-3, they look exactly the same.
Nice!
My brother was playing the other day with physics, the number of people being pushed off bridges was amazing.
I'm baaaaaaackWell, there is small visual difference, although not on all tanks Idunnothereason...
Difference between "German" D-2-5 muzzle brake◊ and "Soviet" D-25 muzzle brake◊ can be seen here good enough.
D-2-5 number is because it is basically D-2 gun on D-5 base BTW.
"See the goal, believe in yourself, ignore the obstacles" - CharodeiHuh. I'm still pretty sure the lazy bums didn't bother to separate the models for the KV-3.
My understanding was that both were the A-19 artillery gun mounted to a tank.
EDIT: Can't get 8.0 to install in Linux. Gonna go over to a Windows box and install it to a flashdrive and copy the directory manually and hope that works. In the meantime, TF 2 will keep me company.

Guys, a word of warning: Be VERY CAREFUL when purchasing the new paint camo designs. Some of them are borked in that you'll get the wrong paint job, despite you choosing two other types. I just wasted possibly more than 300 gold trying to select my SU-85B's previous paint job, only for it to keep applying an ugly-looking forest design that I hated! I really hope Wargaming gets on this issue, because right now I'm feeling ripped off!
My brother seems okay at bitching at the teams that fail, but he keeps it verbal rather than written. Also, he considers artillery fail if he can keep enemy arty lit for more than thirty seconds and he doesn't at least see a streak come in. Considering he plays arty at all tiers but 8, he's learned to recognize fail arty.
Fight smart, not fair.
At the higher levels, you are generally good enough that you earn considerably more exp and money than you did early on.
