It's mostly that it's really slow and gets torn apart easily by higher tier vehicles anyway, while lacking substantial firepower against higher tier vehicles.

[up][up]Driving it is an exercise in how many times you'll put the gun to your head before you pull the trigger. Your tank weighs 40 tons. Your top engine has 190 horsepower. You have the speed, acceleration, and maneuverability of a beached whale.

It's one of the few tanks I completely skipped, just because I said "never again" to tier 4 lights (though the horror stories didn't help). That said, the D1/2 and B1 are also horrifically slow.

Well, D1/2 and B1 at least are balanced accordingly to their shitty stats, but AMX 40 rarely is in top and it just can't penetrate anything lvl 5+ (normally, although I did killed that KV...), and that THING almost became first tank I skipped for free XP (I'm proud not to do so). And it's damn slooooooooooo..ooooow. And armour is either unimportant as it either isn't fast enough to catch enemy or enemy is good enough to defeat it anyway.

Again, A-20 and 38 nA isn't that bad, they are balanced not as hard as dedicated scouts T-50 and Leo, and even get into battles where they can do some fighting. You just need to regulate you caution much lower - only shameless and insolent drivers can unlock it's power. They are good enough - just, apparently, isn't your type.

Finally got heavy legends - IS and Tiger. Both is stock. IS: I already had 100 mm gun, engine and radio, and it will probably remain that way - I already managed to use my fast reload to kill ELC, IS-2 and StuG myself simultaneously with some help from city buildings (Ensk), awesome tank. Tiger is horrible. Slow, vulnerable and not penetrating. Crew is 100% + 1,6 skills on both (veterans from unified KV during S-51 grind and Lowe crew respectively). Also: for making IS decent (long 85 or 100) only 15000 xp would needed in not mediums line, but, damn, 27000 xp for Tiger to do something? L70 was good on lvl 6 medium, but on lvl 7 heavy... suffering. NOW I understand why germanophiles cry, as I'm almost ready so start myself.

And really, KV-3 owners, try 107. You'll love it, especially cost of shells and shock from enemies who expected 3-4 more seconds of reload.

I'll actually have all the IS guns before I unlock it thanks to my KV-3. I kinda want the KV-4 and after that, I don't care about that line. Similarly, I don't really care about the IS line past the IS-3. Honestly, I'm not that thrilled about anything in the tier 9-10 range, especially seeing as they seem most prone to heavy-handed nerfs.

I do, however, hear that the upcoming Object 263 is stupidly OP (at least in its current configuration), and that the T110E4 is getting nerfed really hard.

I came into the Tiger with the 88mm L/56 gun as well. The Tiger is hell to grind, but at least the ammo for the L/71 is cheap, unlike the IS-2s and KV-3s 122mm gun (I prefer to roll the D-25T over the ZiS-6 due to pen and alpha) and the T29s 105mm gun.

I'm going to stop at King Tiger, but IS-3 and KV-4 won't be last in my line.

All new Sov ATs are too good and will be nerfed (cannons cut for example).

  • T110E4:
    • Armour:
      • Under turret - 240 => 152
      • Hull roof 76 => 38
      • Turret
        • Front 254 => 203
        • Side 203 => 152
        • Commander's turret 203 => 152
        • Gun mantle 305 => 254
    • Reduced passability:
      • On good ground by 8%
      • On medium ground by 14,5%
    • Hull traverse 28 => 26
    • Gun:
      • Accuracy 0.36 => 0.37
      • Aim time 2,7 => 2,9
      • Reload +0,8 sec

88 L56 is even worse. Inaccurate, even less pen, longer reload. Not my style.

And ZiS is really good, even without alpha, as it isn't everything.

There's also the extra pen.

I might go for the E-75, but I have no intention of touching the E-100 with a 50 metre pole.

Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised if Object 263 remains extremely OP until 8.1, in form with the pattern of 1.)Introduce new tanks which are most likely OP 2.)Let people free exp their way to the new OPmobiles 3.)Nerf them in the next patch 4.)Roll in cash the whole time.

I counted 7 mm less pen affordable sacrifice for otherwise good shell.

Thought about 75, but currently lvl 9 tanks have less than any other meaning to remain in hangar: not in tank companies, not in clan wars, ets. and E-100 is horror, and isn't even legendary horror like Maus.

Apparently, WG tries to break stereotypes with 0.8.0 and and also actually managed to get statistics.

Wherewasit...

  • 1) Remove gun 100mm_D54S from SU100M1;
  • 2) Remove gun 122mm_M62-T2S from SU-101;
  • 3) Add gun 100mm_D54S (Gun_02.model) to SU122_54;
  • 4) Remove gun 130mm_S-70S from SU122_54;

I don't care about CW or Companies, so that's kind of a non-issue with me.

Really, they should have companies on an alternating schedule (as in changing every day) of tier 4/6/8/10 and 3/5/7/9 with appropriate arty and light tank restrictions.

So, I crunched the numbers and the D-25T has 46.2 DPS on the ZiS-6. It also has the enormously satisfying/aggravating (depending on which end I'm on) ability to oneshot the ELC AMX.

Okay, I'm now pretty sure spotting is borked or something myself. Just had a moving T29 show up in my face at less than 50 metres. Not even just peaking around a corner. THE ENTIRE DAMN TANK. Where do you hide a T29? It's fucking huge!

Also, skins I'd like to see for the pun: A Gustavus Adolphus Löwe so that it can be Der Löwe von Mitternacht. Or a message that reads "Der Löwe von/aus Mitternacht" that I could use with a Luna/Nightmare Moon skin.

The aiming is the same. I've run into several situations in which i'm pretty sure the shell had to "teleport" out of my cannon's barrel to miss to badly, or situations where I've already rammed the enemy and am facing the barrel downwards yet miss the shot.

Woo! Just soaked up 41 shots in my KV-3, mostly from a T-34-85 and a KV-13. I think the T-34-85 was shooting gold. I'm pretty sure I saw blue tracers and took far more penetrating hits than I should have given the angle he was shooting my engine from. Wish he had mixed it up and shot out my driver or radio man or something. Then I might have taken enough crits to get Billote's Medal.

Oh, they had them. Lots of them.

It's just their best was basically a copy of the 109 and the others were kinda...bad. Or used very badly.

I tried to give WOWP's likely competitor (War Thunder) a crack, but sadly, I can't get it running in WINE. That said, my WINE-fu is weak.

Also, I look forward to putting good, old-fashioned USNAVY shells through the Yamato in an Iowa-class battleship.

Fun things: Taking out a VK4205(P) in a T29 with the help of an IS-8. IS-8 mostly tanked the damage and I did most of the damage by pounding the VK's side. Honestly, killing tier 9 heavies just plain makes me happy because of the extent to which fighting them was hopeless in a lot of my stuff that could meet them pre-7.5, and how tough they tend to be from the front.

I'm not seeing anything that separates War Thunder from what World of Warplanes and other WWII fighter sims have done in the past. The grahpics are a bit better than what's been released for Wo WP, but what else is there?

I hear it's a bit more sim-like, though the basic premise is certainly pretty much the same.

Just had awesome battle on Mines: Me, on 704, together with 103 battled IS, KV-3, IS-3, Tiger(P), ST-1 and 103. Enemy's 103 was participating only in the beginning of the battle, that he was distracted by our tanks that took centre hill. 704 actually had armour! It's miracle. Lot of ricochets, both me and 103 survived with >100 hp. Being armoured is... unusual.

It's actually ST-I (or so I'm told).

Tier 9 doesn't really interest me, save for the E-75, and tier 10 holds no attraction for me either.

To be honest, part of Wo WP's problem in comparison to Tanks (or so people are saying) is that it's too sim-like already.

Well if they're planning on making it anything like World of Tanks plays, a degree of realism is required. Question is, are they going to the point that it's a mil-sim, or "realistic, but with simple controls and rules" type?
