Because I didn't really do anything, but drive halfway towards the city before heading back to our now abandoned base...And then I was killed before I could hit anything.

Yo! Test server apparently has Japanese heavies beyond their premium Tiger (which I'm just gonna call the Tora), and they're huge and dumb and wonderful. Hadn't had any interest in the Japanese line, but I may have to give them some play after this, goddamn.

Anyone else given them a look?

Seriously, I was looking for it at the end of the line like the Maus. I was disappointed that they weren't getting it since it wasn't listed as tier IX or X.

They sure are designs.

Seems like the O/I is going to be the centerpiece of that tech tree, because everything else before it and two tiers after it just sucks. Especially for the Tier 9 and 10 tanks: they're both essentially the E-100, but with a greater weight, profile, and slower ROF. And given the shift in the metagame towards mobile medium tanks with good RO Fs and penetration, I don't see those tanks (again save the O/I) becoming very competitive or popular in the long run.

But tiers 5-7 are sweet. Like "Hey, psst, want a KV-1 with 300 alpha and 120 armor?"

You forgot to mention that the KV-1 attracts mini-Panzers armed with machine guns for one reason or another. But I guess that explains the red star on my barrel.

I'm not really enthusiatic about the new Japanese heavies. Yes, it's a new addition, but I'm not really convinced about having another Maus in the endgame.

Honestly, I only use the official NA forums for entertainment and stealth trolling nowadays...Why? Because it's better than watching Cartoon Network. And they also need to reinstall the negrep button, it feels like the community is getting worse without it.◊

UPD: I visited NA site and saw the "Tanks through time" event. You guys got some neat missions instead of RU's "20k XP in a day, repeat 30 times". BTW how big is the Great Credit Compensation Butthurt over there?

Over here, it spilled all over the forum and spawned no less than 1k pages total. For me the bigger issue is WG's attitude towards the tank. First they go "you people buy too much of it, so we're pulling it out" and in half a year they are like "lol JK Hedgehogs for everyone!"

And Arty threads are boring. They are an infinite loop of "Nerf the arty because it 1shotted me today" and "Buff the arty because I 1shotted noone today"

I agree with you about the recent arty threads. Which is why I tried to call them out on their hatred and stop whining like an spoiled 4-year-old. But I was met with hate mail and some guy who said that arty lovers should dig a trench, throw themselves in there, soak themselves with gasoline, and burn themselves. Needless to say, he was RO'd. Overall, it was an good laugh, but you have to wonder about their maturity...

Quick question: Anyone else having trouble launching replays? I keep trying to play some of mine, but nothing doing. And I know it's not a question of version compatibility, because it's true about replays I saved immediately before trying to play them, too.

Move the replay files into the same folder your .exe is in. Problem goes on since 9.9, and it has a permanent solution somewhere on the forums. You get a file, you launch it, replays fixed.

Edit: in 9.10, they added an article to the EULA that concerns game's shutdown. It just says they must warn the user 180 days in advance, but still. With all those crazy premium tanks giveaways every 2 months, I think the game has no more than 2 years to live.

Are you talking about World of Warplanes, or World of Tanks when it comes to the game shutting down in less than 2 years? Because I have a hard time imagining Wo T dying that quickly, it's far too popular globally. Doubly so when you stack it's population against your typical MMO's population base.

I was talking about WoT. My problem is with events, which on RU switched from "Hey guys, did you know september 2nd is the Guards' Day? Here are some discounts and an x3, have fun!" to "Hmm, you aren't grinding 35k dmg and 20k XP every day for a month now. Oh, I know! Here, get a Marathon for the next month!"

And by "death" I meant not the shutdown, but WoT becoming like WoWp is now, a corpse that is.
