Let me just make sure I understand the plot to the Titanfall series. There's this company, the IMC, that is going to move into various planets, some of which are already occupied by people, and pave over everything to turn it into New Cybertron. And the guys you play as don't like that idea. Am I missing anything?
Well, the main thing is that before the IMC showed up, the Frontier was relatively prosperous and nothing bad was happening, and the people that had colonized those planets were living without restrictions. Then the IMC have come in to try and impose their own brand of restrictive laws and exploit the Frontier's resources, which the Frontier colonists don't appreciate because they were doing fine on their own, thank you very much.
In case you need indication on who are the bad guys, the IMC apparently often test out their new Mecha-Mooks on colonists or captured prisoners.

So apparently Liam is leaving the Zaibatsu. Permanently.
FUCK.
I didn't see him in much besides the Despair Girls LP, but it's still a shame to see a personality go.
Here's a more in depth post. Does this mean they're cancelling Sonic Unleashed and Megaman X?

He said he might try to finish the Sonic Unleashed LP down the line. Maybe as a guest contributor like how Plague and Cranky will show up from time to time.
Since it wasn't brought up, I imagine Command Mission is pretty much almost done. He mentioned in the post that he'd like to come back to finish Unleashed when Matt returns.
...God, I'm going to miss Liam a lot. It's so weird to see a member of a Lets Play group leaving. I've never really seen that happen at all before.
EDIT: ...Scratch that, forgot about Jon Tron leaving the Grumps.

The difference was Jontron physically left for New York (and hasn't done anything good since). Liam is still physically there, he's just basically going into retirement, but can pop in and out if his health improves.
Oh, so that's what that means.
Well that's a bit of a relief. I hope he'll get better soon, and if he chooses to do a playthrough again someday then great. If not, then that's fine too.
The difference is that they aren't pretending Liam didn't exist, Matt released a statement, and both Woolie and Pat sent him their best wishes for the future.
Matt will come back because the channel is his and Pat's; and I 100% believe that Liam's door will always be open if he ever wants to come back when he feels better.
It's still just such a weird feeling.
I'll say that since I became a fan of their channel I've been worried of the inevitable person leaving in bad terms because it sucks seeing a friendship falling apart.
But it sounds like they have everything worked out.
I wonder if there was some behind the scenes drama that we're not hearing about.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Nah, this whole thing seems pretty cut and dry. Matt and Liam are worried about their health, Matt wants a break, Liam on the other hand thinks it's better just to quit being on the show outright so he can focus on taking care of himself easily.
Yeah, I'm actually even more upset about this than when Ray left Achievement Hunter.
I do hope he sometimes comes back though, for one offs and maybe a podcast from time to time, but this is still a bummer >.> Anxiety sucks, especially when you're on pressure to constantly be funny.
Yeah it definitely doesn't seem like there's any bad blood between them. They still seem chill on the podcast, and I don't see any hints of enmity on their playthroughs aside from some stuff in Omikron that Matt was very obviously playing for laughs.
Considering Matt said Liam lives half an hour away, I'm sure it'd be possible for him to come back for casts and such every now and then.
We probably won't be getting a Christmas picture either.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. If Liam's going out, then this is the best way to end it all.
I guess it's back to two best friends play for now
The wrong two best friends tho.
it's 50% right. that's good enough. Plus the other half was supposed to be in the original.
Im bummed I wanted Liam and Pat to do the Neir sequel when it comes out but at least Liam will be able to better himself now
I became a fan of the super best friends just about a year ago, and I instantly loved every single one of their videos, their friendship always shone through all of the banter, and that's something really special. It's really gonna be different without Liam, but he must do waht's best for him.
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.
Okay, so like a month off then. That's a good amount of vacation time, I'd say.
Also he's going to be streaming with Woolie tomorrow with Wild Guns and...something else that I forget >.>
