Same thing seemed to be happening in their Dark Souls video. Kinda ruins the timing on some of their jokes. :/

Glad that they didn't repeat that Red Dead Redemption gag again. Knew that they were doing it when I first saw it, but still glad that they got the real game pretty quick. The Batman game they were playing first looked awful.

That killed my theory that Pat didn't know he was being recorded.

But... they've done a few Blooper specials uploaded to Matt's channel where it's obvious Pat's been aware this whole time. |D

Unless you mean in some way where "Matt" and "Pat" are their characters and you're talking about an in-universe angle.

I still can't decide on whether or not Matt and Pat are characters or not. Matt's stupidity really seems to fluctuate a lot. At times he seems perfectly normal and at other times he seems too stupid to possibly be functional. So I've been suspicious at times that it's at least partly an act.

I assume that Matt and Pat are aliases, and the stuff about switching to the right Batman game and Pat's wallpaper show that it's staged to some extent. And I doubt Matt is really this stupid. I jsut don't think they have an actual story, which is what would make the revelation that Pat didn't know he was being recorded so interesting.

For a little while, I thought that Matt and Pat were real, but that Matt was deliberately pretending to be stupid just to annoy Pat. Because sometimes he's way too smart about his stupidity. Like in the Captain America video, how he holds off using his "America!" catch phrase until the very end. And when Pat accuses him of having eaten paint as a child, he replies "You mean wall candy?" without missing a beat.

It was the outtakes videos that made me realize it's pretty much all an act.

I feel like they generally plan the direction for episodes, but still improv the details and edit in the best of what they've recorded. Sure, they might plan for Matt to obfuscate stupidity or Pat to hate on a game, but every so often we get moments of them genuinely saying or doing something stupid/awesome.

The Persona 4 one wasn't very good. Are they getting worse? I swear if I listened to it on headphones my eardrums would bleed.

Yeah, I think it was kind of underwhelming. They didn't really get much done and some of the stuff wasn't all that funny.

Oh well, there's a few of them that I don't think are very good. The Catherine one, for instance.

The ending of the Persona one was hilarious though.

I liked the Simpsons reference.

Call me crazy, but I loved it. Found it to be one of their funnier ones in a while. Didn't feel quite as staged as some others.

And they made a Kamen Rider reference, so they've elevated themselves into even more perfect beings in my mind.

The Persona 4 episode doesn't seem to be on Machinima's list yet...

To be honest, I actually enjoyed Persona's episode quite a lot.

Lots of those animals are in Uncanny Valley for me...

Oh there's a whole bunch of Cabela wilderness games. Hunting, stuff like this. I think the Bear Grylls one was funnier, but this one had its moments too. The ending was hysterical with how frantic they were XD I do wish they hadn't ended it on a cliffhanger, though.

YMMV on the ending, because I thought it was perfect. Just... wtf were the gamemakers thinking?

Loved just about every moment of it.
