Pretty sure the older videos just accumulated more.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I know I regularly watch old LP's if I need some amusing noise in the background, so that sounds pretty apt.
I sometimes rewatch them just to watch them again. For instance a year ago I re-watched the two Soulsborne games they'd done at the time, DS 2 and Bloodborne.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I regularly rewatch their Deadly Premonition, Life is Strange, and MGR ones a lot. And from how it's shaping up to be Yakuza 0 is going to be another of those insanely rewatchable ones just because of all the insanity that goes on.
Yeah, I also watched Yakuza 4 once again xD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I've watched the last episode of Star Fox Adventures a bunch. That episode was comedy gold.
Oh yeah xD That's gotta be one of the loudest times Matt's screamed like that.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.New season. Didn't they JUST finish the LAST season? I'll never understand how they organize their Machinima seasons.
Yeah, me neither, really. TBH I barely watch their machinima stuff anymore, their LP stuff on their main channel is way more interesting and funnier.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I sometimes rewatch their Machinima eps when it's for a game I already have prior interest in like the Yakuza or Mass Effect ones, but I like the full LP because it's more content overall. Also because even though Machinima episodes are supposed to be edited to concentrate the funniest parts, what they and I consider cutworthy and keepworthy isn't necessary the same.
They need that Machinima money more than ever, since Vessel self-destructed overnight.
They also have their own channel, but the video players for that site are pretty crummy even on good internet. I'm not sure how much revenue they'd generate from watching videos there though.
I remember reading it's about twice as much per watch/ad click. Two cents compared to one, per certain amount?
Man, I'm lovin' the Yakuza 0 LP.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Yeah, I hope they keep the pace this slow throughout. I think they want to stretch it out to replace the Persona 5 LP that never was. I loved Yakuza 4's LP, but I hated that Pat sped through it so much.
The nice thing about a game like Yakuza 0 is that there's a lot of variety between the dual protagonists and storylines, as well as various minigames, sidequests, and gameplay modes to keep it fresh for both vets and newcomers alike.
Contrast that to, say, Dark Souls, which is probably a lot of fun for the people actually playing it as well as people who already played it and are interested in seeing how the two react, but for someone like me who has yet to touch any of them it quickly fell into Arc Fatigue.
Yeah, the Yakuza games give me at least a laugh an episode, especially in this one where they did the telephone game.
Hitting "ARE YOU A GUY?!" twice and hearing their reactions was great XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Man, are they going to be surprised when they challenge the Pleasure King...
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I've never played a Yakuza game before, but the sheer hilarity of the prequel they're playing kept me hooked to that LP in a different way from their Soulsbourne LP's.
@view count: i suppose that makes sense.
The Yakuza Zero LP could not have gone any better, this is true. Some of the side content of that game must be seen to be believed.

I'm really enjoying their playthrough of Night in the Woods but one problem I've found is that the characters don't emote. They just have one static expression that they keep all the time. This usually isn't a big problem, but I just watched a scene where Mae gets into a big fight with her mom, and both parties look exactly like they do when they're not angrily shouting at each other.
Eh, they do emote sometimes (when Mae and Gregg meet at the old Food Donkey Mae looks at the camera and widens her eyes, plus a few times when she's annoyed about something Mae's mouth will quirk up) but yeah, a lot of times the characters are static.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Maybe now that The Walking Dead is concluded they'll play that.
Maybe they've been playing it this entire time and haven't told anyone.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.
I wanna talk about the viewer dropoff for a hot minute.
I'm new to the Best Friends train, so I follow the newer let's plays. When comparing them to the older ones, just in terms of raw views, they just cannot compete. Yakuza 4, for example, was apparently one of their lower performing series at the time of release, but now it outdoes a ton of their ongoing stuff.
Was there just a slow, yet steady drop in interest, or did the older videos just accumulate more views over time? Even the Machinima episodes don't perform as well as they used to. It's not to disparage the Best Friends' quality, since I still enjoy their shit, but I honestly dunno whether this Youtube thing will continue to be financially viable if more people just kinda leave.
