I do believe that Toujou is secure in his place as my favourite character.

I love this series. It is pretty funny at times.

Has anyone started watching the anime yet? I'm just starting now.

But damn, Oga's voice. WRY SO SEXY.

At the same time, I'm conflicted over it. Both his and Furuichi's now, actually, if their voices are too deep/mature sounding for both of them. I'll see if that changes. *^*

I'm not sure why you'd have expected immature voices. I think his voice is perfect. While he's only a freshman in high school, the setting is clearly one in which high school students are treated like bulky tough guys, so limiting the range of the entire cast to "immature" would be completely bizarre. Oga is supposed to be someone who can be badass and threatening as well as just kind of stupid, and his voice has to have to kind of range.

Is Oga's VA the same dude who did Gin from Gintama?

Also I am loving the anime thus far. I am half way through ep 1 and I have seen the OVA.

Aio's voice is perfect for her character in the OVA.

Is Kanzaki's VA Crocodile?

I'm not saying that I expected immature voices, I just expected less deep/mature voices. :) But I can't actually think of what voices I expected, which is pretty lame. It doesn't help in explaining.

Nah, Oga's VA is Katsuyuki Konishi. Gin-san is Tomkazu Sugita. :D Not sure about Kanzaki though, since I don't watch One Piece.

Also, chapter 93! :D I'm so happy that the manga still has its sense of humor. ♥ and its Oga/Aoi moments

Did Furuichi just pull off a Batman Gambit to get all the heads and Aio's group on his side? If so he took a level in lying ability.

Unfortunately, the series doesn't really hold me. The first episode was great, but after another two episodes of 'Oga can't keep Beel from crying and gets shocked, lol! Oh, and here's a joke about how Hilda has breasts!'... it's lost its sticking power, in my opinion.

Basically it needs more recurring characters to create more variety of interactions. It takes a while for that to happen.

It gets quite the varied cast as it goes on. Give it some time.

Talking about the anime? I think they're putting in too much filler—the OMG BABY BEEL'S CRYING jokes for me—but as everyone else has said, it gets more interesting with more characters. :D

Also Oga is the luckiest son of a bitch when he choose Aio's grandpa to train him. The old fart knew the entire time that Baby Beel was a demon.

Same. I'm really liking how Oga's VA really hits his lines, he's got good comedic timing. :) Now I just have to watch episode 5 and 6, if the latter's out already.

I'm also excited to see Aoi's exorcism training. *^*

Chapter 96

Little slow if you ask me but next chapter looks promising.

Yeah, I agree, but the cover of the chapter was really cool. :D And it's nice to see the minor characters take the spotlight for a few chapters, if only for someone to get attacked by a chainsaw.

The filler/padding that they had in episode 6 was damned hilarious.

Also in the last chapter when the good night dude showed up do you think it was because the author remembered he existed because of the anime?

Aoi makes her anime debut next episode and that seems promising.
