The same really.

I mean, it's not like the series is unfamiliar with petty motives, but I think that would slightly hurt the game and all the characters to reduce things to a catfight over boys....and I speak as a dude who's long enjoyed catfights.

So here's a question; After this game, would any of you guys want a remake of Renegade III: The Final Chapter in a style similar to River City Girls? I've been thinking of one, with Kunio, Riki, Alex and Ryan as hidden playable characters.

My guess/hope is Hasabe and Shimada are boss characters for the above mentioned motives but go Yuri Genre by the end of the game.

Hey, my shipping side would have no problem shipping them with both the boys and the girls.

The premise alone is great. If there's any hints in that direction, I'll see them as a welcome bonus.

Seems I was right about those Hasebe and Mami being in there....and they are acting damned suspicious too. I'm wondering now if the they're the secret final bosses theory we've come up with here was on the money.

I love how the artstyle of this game looks! I wouldn't mind if this became the new standard for the Kunio-kun series.

And on that note, the lead sprite animator for the game, Kay, is crying tears of joy right now.

So, in preparation for River City Girls and to try to get into the series, I've been thinking of getting River City: Rival Showdown. Would you guys recommend it?

I just bought River City Ransom Underground but my PC controller broke so now I'm kinda screwed.

Keyboard works fine for RCR:U. It's just a different learning curve.

Becoming more convinced of my Hasebe and Shimada are the real villains theory.

Now that I can get a good look at their faces, they look flat out evil.

Seeing Japanese players talk over cutscenes in English with an American-made game from a Japanese series is surreal.

Huh... Not surprised to see Yamada back. I guess Godai (Tex) and Misuzu are to be expected as well. I'm somewhat curious about Naritaka, given that is also Nishimura's (Rocko's) given name. Might be a Names The Same deal, but maybe there's a connection there.

So I have a question about some of the characters;

Kyoko, Misako, Kunio and Riki are all the Main Characters.

I'm very familiar with Misuzu by now.

I was able to look up Yamada, Godai, and Hiroshi.

Abobo and Burnov are from Double Dragon.

But where are Hibari, Noize, Kaori, Mihoko, and Yoko from?

There's an NPC with a duck on top of his head.
