Also three months in and it's been a long time since the manga was over. I just needed this series to start before I discovered the original so that I would be fine with the wait.

Well Yui was never a main character, so she'll probably be the major girl of one of the next 10 chapters. But I'm afraid Lala is probably going to diminish in importance. That actually really annoys me too, I find Momo really weird as a main character.

I like having a really manipulative main character because her motivation and how utterly serious she goes about it is so bizarre. She wants to get laid by Rito and to do that she needs to build him a harem apparently. That's insane, but I love it.

Also about Lala I miss her because of the wacky hijinks that she caused more than her actually personality. What she caused made me laugh, not so much her character in and of itself.

It isn't the personalities, (I agree, Momo's personality is more fun) it's the loli element thats freaks me out. I'm OK with it in side characters, but I'd rather not have it with the main female character.

She's to well devolved, physically and mentally, to really bother me. Only Mikan and Yami really make me feel uncomfortable age wise. Although I do think that the manga as a whole is a lot more than I am ever comfortable reading in front of anyone else ever, and I don't like that.

I'm OK with Yami providing fanservice (though I feel bad about Mikan too) but the fact that Momo having sex with Rito is getting closer and closer to being placed on the table worries me.

I don't think it will go that far. Yet at any rate. So long as we don't see the deed it would not really bother me. I mean they are high schoolers at least.

I was fine with Rito and Lala, they're old enough. But Momo's a freshman, and I think she skipped a grade or two at that.

Dude, this is ecchi. If you can't stand fanservice, get the heck out. I mean, yeah, the incest vibes are a bit odd due to Values Dissonance, all the characters very CLEARLY cater to one specific fetish or another.

The tactic is, drool over the ones you like, laugh hysterically at the ones you don't. Like-a me!

That's totally fair, and what I do. It's just the female protagonist being way underaged and clearly planning on sex with him that bothers me, I was fine with her as a side character. But ehk's probably right, it won't go that far. Besides, if Yami's legal in earth years, I can pretend Momo is fair game too.

The only problem I have with the focus on Momo is that it takes the focus off of Yami, who I think is a better character. That and Momo is tending towards a more comedic bent, which is going to cause a lot of Mood Whiplash if Yami's part of the plot ends up being heavily dramatic, which seems likely.

And isn't the age of consent in Japan low enough to make Momo/Rito not illegal? I mean, I don't really want them hooking up, but I don't think the Japanese would find it at Squicky as westerners would.

Failure Is the Only Option guarantees not only Momo, but all of the other girls, won't be riding Rito anytime soon, anyway.

Well, obviously. It wouldn't surprise me if the harem ended up happening, except she doesn't get in, for whatever reason.

Bonus hilarity points if Nana ends up there instead of her. With neither of them being exactly sure of why.

I would laugh so hard if that actually happened.

Then feel bad for Momo, maybe she will get a consolation prize. Has the moon been spoken for?

You know, it could be actually kinda good if the new bill forced the authors to actually focus on the plot while reducing the extreme fanservice.

I mean, we've already seen every naked inch of Yami but her vagina. Several times. We don't need to see all that many more times. Just saying.

As long as the series continues I don't give a damn. I have expressed my views on the fanservice before.

If you really want Yami fanservice, I'm sure there's a ton of rule 34 of her out there. Just sayin'.

I really wouldn't mind if they cut the fanservice to focus on the plot more; I don't mind the fanservice, but if it keeps escalating like it has been, it'll start to detract from the plot. I'd rather sacrifice the fanservice for plot than vice versa.

There's actually less fanservice, it's just more pornographic now. Darkness already has more of a plot than the original.

Exactly. Besides, I'd expect authors to fight for fanservice first before (and if they ever) decide to focus on the plot. Not that there's a direct correlation between the two in the first place.

Personally I'd rather the fanservice stay. It helps my mind rest from the usual stuff I read/watch.
