I heard that at the end of the series, Dib and Tak would have been stranded on another world together. For the tone of this series, that sounds like a sweet way to end their arc.
Also, I hate Gaz with a passion. A huge reason i would like Invader Zim back is if she finally gets the fate she deserves.
Why would anyone hate Gaz?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatFor no absolute reason other than "Just 'cause".
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.But she's awesome. Way better than Gi R.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatBoth are awesome, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. They both could get really annoying or grating at times (still, you can say that about every character on the show—except for Dr. Membrane, 'cuz he has a badass voice), but I generally don't dislike them.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Apparently, when Nickelodeon announced that Invader Zim was going to be cancelled, Jhonen Vasquez had the idea that both Zim and Dib would die at the end of the in-progress but unfinished episode "10 Minutes To Doom" to make it a fitting ending, but Nick rejected the idea in case they ever decided to bring the show back.
Apparently, the ultimate plan to bring Zim to a close was with a three-part TV movie called "Invader Dib," which would serve as the ultimate series finale. In this movie, the natives of planet Meekrob would capture Invader Tenn (the Irken invader sent to conquer the planet for Operation Impending Doom 2, as seen in the episode "Megadoomer"). After Zim and Invader Skoodge rescue her, the Meekrob would wage all-out war against the Irken Empire. The Meekrob would also go to Earth (previously seen in "Dib's Wonderful Life of Doom") to recruit Dib to their ranks (possibly as their ambassador) because of his own close encounter of the Irken kind.
I've always thought that "Invader Dib" was a stupid idea, way too much success for this show. I get the feeling that Jhonen would have heavily rewritten that if it ever got greenlit.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI don't mean to offend anyone with these comments, but I think Invader Zim is put on a bit too high a pedestal. Yeah, it's good for what it is, but some people seem to act like it's the magnum opus of all Western Animation. Like I said, it's good, but it still has its flaws, like any great cartoon.
Also, I found the overly morbid atmosphere to be a bit of a turn off. If this gets new episodes, that'd be great, but i'd like it to start going somewhere. Seeing the characters constantly fail to accomplish anything gets tiring after a while.
"I am the lord of Purity, who tolerates no deviation." My first online storyI don't think you really get Jhonen Vasquez's writing style. Everything he does revolves around failure and psychopathy.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI mean, for goodness' sake, his most popular other work is a comic called Johnny The Homicidal Maniac. You kind of know to expect morbidity from that.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Eh, I don't think it'd work as well in comic form, unless they tailor it specifically to the medium in just the right way.

Hmm. Not exactly the first reaction I was expecting.
I was expecting something more like:
Guess we'll know more come the 20th of February.

Aw yeah!
Glad I found out about it since I'm getting back into the series.I wonder what they're gonna do with the comic.Maybe they'll use some of the unused ideas from the show(like Skoodge hiding in Zim's base or bring back Tak).
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013The comic is official. Jhonen will be involved, as will Nickelodeon. The first issue will be published on July 1st.
Thank god.
I wonder how Jhonen feels about working on Zim again after all this time.
Actual Jhonen quote from the PR:
This is cool. Will follow.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Is there any news on what stores it would be available in yet?
Personally, I have my own ending I would've liked to see happen: Zim would get called back to Irk by the Tallest (who planned to execute him). Dib would stowaway on Zim's ship, and go out and try to Invader Irk. Somewhere along the way, Zim somehow gets a HUGE growth spurt, and HE becomes the Tallest! Now the Irken Empire is at the mercy of Zim's insane antics, and dib joins the Resisty after being approached for his efforts to invade Irk.
