Something about Bankai being the window of a Shinigami soul. I guess Kubo just wanted to keep Aizen's a mystery,
He didn't know that Urahara had an alternative means. That's why Sogyoku was still plan A.
Plan A and Plan B both required him to get access to the central 46 chambers so he killed two birds (and 46 councilmen) with one stone.
I have always assumed Aizen never knew Bankai and just fooled everyone into thinking he did.

A new trailer is out. And it's amazing. Grand F Isher will be the sole big bad. Instead of a Menos Grande Ichigo and Uryuu will fight Grand F Isher. They try the same tactics though. Byakuya and Renji will appear during what I believe is Uryuu's competition with Ichigo. That spider hollow is also appearing. Orihime and Chad still missing. I can see Orihime appearing, even if just to draw a bigger crowd because of the romance aspects, but I think Chad will be adapted out.
The fake Shikai Aizen showed off at one point off-screen- which I believe Renji described as 'creating a bunch of illusionary mist that traps you and tricks you into attacking your allies' is actually Aizen's Bankai. His trick wasn't just about concealing the utility of his Shikai, but also about making people think his sword was more powerful than it really is. This is why he never explicitly used his Bankai; doing so would reveal that his Shikai wasn't as strong as he claimed it was.
His Shikai, meanwhile, is limited to creating fake copies of people and making people imperceptible.

I have to say, I am curious how this will adapt (waves arms randomly) the rest of the stuff.
Well if it does well & I mean "IF".
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Looks really good actually, and sounds like a decent pragmatic adaptation.
There's precisely one bit I don't likenote , everything else looks really amazing, good CGI.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"That video is not available in the US, unfortunately. Got a region-free version?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youFriggin WOW it looks gret
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThat was basically Gin's argument. He pointed out the Shinigami were making a mistake to be so focussed on defeating Kyoka Suigetsu. The point of Aizen was that he was so strong as a person. In essence, Gin was saying that the captains were making the same mistake about Aizen that Aizen made about Yamamoto: take away the zanpakuto, and you're still stuck facing a super-powerful Shinigami who has mastered all four arts.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. But I don't really see the point of that - KS is part of Aizen's arsenal. You need to neutralise it or find a way to get around it or anything you do could be either completely useless or turned on an ally.
Besides, isn't Gin the one who dedicated a lot of time and effort to figuring out its weakness?
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Not exactly, he spent years building up trust that Aizen would be able to tell him the weakness, so he could go in for a sneak attack.
But Aizen expected something like that to happen eventually; he liked having someone around to keep him on his toes. It goes along with his "never trust anyone" thing.

Aizen himself implies this during TBTP: he indicates that if Shinji had kept him closer, he might have known that he was being followed around by a body double instead of the real Aizen. That all but confirms that someone who is under the sway of it might be able to break through it in some way if they have an excellent understanding of Aizen.
Hell, that point is implied even in the Soul Society Arc where Unohana knows there's something very wrong about the dead 'Aizen' that suggests the real Aizen is still alive and hiding in the one place in the Seireitei where he can't be detected by others (the Central 46 chambers).
And Yamamoto points out that Aizen's reiatsu can be detected even if under the sway of it. Shinigami senses might be too turned about to accurately identify the exact location (which is why Yamamoto decided to tank a sword to the gut — it locked the zanpakuto in place ensuring he could locate Aizen) but they can detect something wrong with the illusion they're exposed to if they're discerning enough (and if they have the opportunity).
So, yes, I do think there are potentially some solid weaknesses to Aizen's sword. It just depends on the victims and the knowledge and opportunity to exploit them — and that's what tends to be in short supply where Aizen is concerned.
Two bits. The Byakuya confrontation, which I reacted to the same way you did. But also, look at the scene where Renji's sword wraps around Ichigo's body. It looks like a weirdly coloured bandage and there's none of the serrated edges that Renji's shikai has. That was a bad special effect.
A flag is that the trailer implies that Rukia is training Ichigo with wooden swords — which is more than she did in the manga, but does raise the question of whether or not Urahara is going to be in this. He should be, even if it's limited to a small role, but it's hard to tell.
The rest does look better than I ever thought a Bleach live action trailer would be.
No. He never figured out its weakness. He expended a lot of time and effort getting Aizen to trust him enough to tell him what the weakness was. And then he found out too late that Aizen had been on to him from the beginning and that he'd given Gin that information as part of his long-term plan to power up.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Random point that I thought about.
Early in the Vandenreich arc, Quilge absorbs Ayon. Later we learn that Hollows are poisonous to Quincy souls. Ayon's made from the left arms of three Arrancar. How was this possible?
¿?¡!Sklaverei breaks everything apart into Reishi particle, so it wasn't Hollow Reishi anymore. Though even if Quilge didn't do that, it wouldn't be a problem. Hollows are poisonous, not an insta-death substance. Like you can take a poisonous substance and it won't necessarily kill you. Only once you take a certain amount of it. Liltotto's stomach acid is so strong for example that she can devour up to three or four thousand hollows until the poison kills her and in Vollständig she would be immune or almost immune.
And remember that Quilge does mention that absorbing Ayon will have some kind of negative effect on his 'holiness'.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I thought he was just complaining about the appearance.
Here's another topic: future occupations. I believe Chad was taught to use his fights only to protect, yet he becomes a boxer. Uryu at least might have changed his mind about never becoming a doctor after learning that Daddy had a good reason for cutting up Mommy's corpse over and over again, but did he ever patch things up with his father? Also, it didn't seem like Ichigo was ever interested in taking over the Kurosaki clinic, provided Isshin even left.

¿?¡!Does misgendering count as a Berserk Button? There is a little discussion going on on the Wandenreich page, whether Giselle being called a boy counts as one. Thought I will ask here, before it becomes an edit war. Personally, I think misgendering someone is a very legitimate reason to be angry.
In other news, the Unmasked data book "reveals" the origins of Yoruichi's cat form. She got that ability as a result of her defection. This implies that it was either a parting gift from her clan or Urahara's science. This is strictly about her normal cat transformation. Not the thunder cat form, which apparently predates it. Byakuya was somewhat familar with it, since he called her a were-cat.
Why would it become an Edit War? I took it to the Is This An Example? forum yesterday, so I'm certainly not going to start one.
However, given that no-one's responded to my post over there, it's certainly worth asking here. The entry in question is this:
- Berserk Button: Giselle will sic the zombified Bambietta on anyone who implies that she's actually male.
My removal edit reason:
The edit reason of the person who added it back:

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I don't think it counts as Berserk Button. Berserk button is like, some little tiny thing that ticks people off right?
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Berserk Button has seen a lot of misuse. From what I understand, it is supposed to be for things that are relatively small that angers someone. With how it is typically, however, it makes it seem like it is just something that makes someone mad.
Don't catch you slippin' now.It specifies comedic berserk buttons as its own thing on the page itself. Even calling it Comedic Berserk Buttons in its paragraph about those.
In general it is about how something small can tick a person off no matter how innocent it is. And the only thing that ticks Gigi off is being called/implied to be a dude.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I remember that there was a discussion how a Bleach game like Dragonball Fighter Z would be. This might become reality.
Arc System Works, the creators of Blaze Blue, Guilty Gear, Dragon Ball Fighter Z and Blaze Blue Crosstag Battle (a crossover between Blaze Blue, Persona, Under Night in Birth and RWBY) are doing a poll to see which manga/anime people want as a fighting game next in a similar style. This might at first seem like just a fan poll, but it seems AWS is genuinely interested. https://mobile.twitter.com/ArcSystem...01248137912320

Bleach is currently second place, just behind Jo Jo.
I guess so.
What's wierd is that we still don't know Aizen's bankai. It's like how we never learned Madara's MS abilities, it's very strange how these major villains just kind of moved up a level without breaking out their full power.
But wait, why would Aizen even need to murder Central 46 to get access to Urahara's classified research? Couldn't he just make himself invisible and walk past them?
