I feel like Pernida's got this; Mayuri's already gotten to win a fight this arc. Though I wouldn't say I'm certain about that; Pernida does sort of seem to be build as a one fight enemy.

Mayuri is Ishida's kill. He's already thinking in making experiments with Pernida, so I don't think he will be much of a threat to Mayuri.

Unless Mayuri's deduction is wrong, then we will have a more difficult fight.

I do hope Mayuri loses here. I like him a lot, but I'm not sure Kubo understands that a character who beats everyone through unconvential methods is just as bad as one who is unbeatable in a straight brawl. And the Elites have been pretty good so far, I'd expect them not to go down to a single Captain or they'd both be underwhelming and horribly outnumbered.

That said I had the same worry about Kenpachi but at least Kubo didn't get carried away after his fight. Maybe he'll do the same for Mayuri.

On the chapter, I liked how Mayuri saved Kenpachi with his Shikai's ability. I also like Pernida's ability being related to Quincy blut.

Well Pernida is an opponent you can't just brute force... which is Zaraki's answer to everything

Nimaiya not withstanding -Either his Sword master instincts told him not to get close to Pernida or in typical Kubo fashion... Guy looks good cause Kubo needs him to look good-

Mayuri's weakness is... He is like Aizen... He doesn't take being wrong very well.

Nimaiya took Pernida out before it could do anything. Basically what Zaraki tried to do but succeeded.

You know I actually expect Pernida at full power does use its voice to contort peoples limbs into oblivion, but the nerves method is probably simpler and less exhausting.

Didn't he also throw his sword instead of running right up to Pernida? Probably helped if the nerves don't move fast enough before they launch an attack from afar.

I think Frozen's point was Nimaiya happened to throw his sword without showing any knowledge that that would be the best approach. Makes it look like a bit of coincidence he did so well.

On the other hand, Pernida used its ability on a giant before fighting Nimaiya. So Nimaiya did have a reason to be careful.

Sensitive Monster:

• Zaraki's answer to everything wasn't the right answer here.
• So Pernida's quite nerve-wracking, eh? Directly attacking the CNS. Kinda like how As Nodt's Vollstandig worked.

"Friend" flashback was dumb, characters we don't care about. Watching the Mayuri and Zaraki buddy cop show is better. Seeing Nemu talk was fun.

I don't know, I thought it was good for what it was. Plus, it's not like it isn't going to get brought up again with other more important things.

If we talk about cuteness and tentacles, I think Adorea◊ wins this round.

Please we all know she's dead. She got killed by Claire imagining up Teresa to be the most powerful and coolest person ever. Which her Teresa completely proves by decimating Priscilla with ease.

Cause apparently stopping the heart is just so hard in Bleach.

Honestly I never found Priscilla as bad as people make her out to be... She's as Bad as Deicide Aizen sure

Well yeah. All that takes place on some island that was small and secretive enough that their enemies would likely not notice the experiments going on. Madara got a great deal of the Ninja world involved in his scheme.

"The Island" seemed fairly large seeing that it had a varied amount of terrains from Deserts, plains , Forest and Frozen tundra...

We're talking like Greenland big almost along the lines of subcontinent might even be Australia big.

Madara still holds that record for when the Beast's pummeled him and dunked him in acid... and the worse he got of it was losing an arm.

And neither of them are as bad as Majin Buu who literally killed gods and was well on his way to destroying the entire universe. Hell, he almost destroyed Other World.
