From what I heard from Shadow, mainly just messing with JS thing. Nothing dangerous, but can really screw with you, especially when you are not expecting it.

And the carpets sound like...slimes?!? Nice, more trolling.

[up]Nothing dangerous? The only thing that stopped me from dying from an overworld zombie pigman, was a quick exit to the main menu of the game and coming back in 30 minutes later to find that all the hazards were replaced with "evil chickens" and a sign warning against making them angry.

Finally found a jungle on the server. And next to a pretty Bryce Mesa at that!

Coords are approx -3700, -5555 to reach the beachhead.

edit- Now with a nether portal at -462, 72, -698 Nether Coords. There's also a Nether Fort just due east (path marked with torches). Just need to make a path to the hub later and it should be all set.

editedit- I have half of the path finished from the hub, and the rest of the way is marked with torches (ran out of cobblestone again). Still rather dangerous to travel the non-stone part, but I veered the path a bit to hit both the trail and a side route to the nether fortress.

edit³ - Jungle Road is complete! ~40 stacks of cobblestone and ~1.5 km of scenic hell. The path is open so ghasts are a minor threat, but the path itself is cobble so blasts won't hurt it. I've bridged and staircased where necessary so there aren't too many dangerous falls to be had. Nether fort is also marked with a branch about 2/3rds of the way from the hub.

Portal leading to an ice spire biome bordering an ice plain is now up! Follow the nether road to the jungle portal and then continue on for another approx 1 km. Ran out of cobble again so the entirety is not solid, but some torches mark the rest of the way until I can finish the road.

Nether Coords to the ice portal are -970, 47, -1396

edit- Found both a spider and zombie spawner fairly close to my Inn. Spider xp traps seem nearly impossible so I just set up an afk drowning trap to farm string. I have a structure up around the zombie trap, and I just need to get the drop pit set up and it should be good to go. Zombie trap is roughly between my place and Solar's undersea home.

Once I get enough redstone collected I think I'll start on a large scale stone generator.

Thanks to whoever connected my portal properly to the nether hub. [tup][tup] Where can I go to farm nether quartz? No idea how large the hub is or who has what staked out.

Also, going to be leaving some free lots around New Rotpargrad II for people to play with.

Also, I can't remember who likes to build the big ships. Feel free to add a long pier to my docks and build one if you want.

Speaking of zombie pigs, decided to try and kill some for their shinies yesterday. Killed a few and got a sick looting enchant sword. Then I turned a corner, and I shit you not, there were 20 of the damned things piled up there. What followed was a pursuit worthy of any yakety sax montage [lol]

Besides Mcmmo what else is on the server? Also is anyone renting out rooms in their home?

You can use /plugins to see all the plugins used. There's also HyperEconomy/ChestShop for selling, for example.

EDIT: video with info about the plugins

Also, suggestion would be to use the spawn area to get started with some food, and then look for an open area for your base. NOT the island right by the spawn, that's Bennus's island.

....and just noticed that cooking rotten flesh to leather is a plugin thing.

[up][up]Yeah. That Island may look uninhabited at first, but then you notice the giant fake tree, then the doors, and the tree chests. It's mostly underground. The island was quite a bit smaller when I first set up base there.

My residence is right past the island there in the dark forest. I have a fully constructed lighthouse with y-11 basement that's free for anyone to inhabit; also the inn once it's finished, but at the moment it isn't even half finished. I do have an enchanting table, furnaces, and a chest or two unlocked and full of free armor/miscs if anyone wants to grab them, plus crop around the area, nether portal in the field, and a stone generator on the hill behind all of that (generator itself is finished but no structure around it yet, planning on a big windmill/factory hybrid when I get around to it).

Can hopefully get back on the server starting tomorrow.

EDIT (10.12.15): And then a lightning storm had to hit. The state of my wifi is probably gonna be fairly dubious for the rest of the day. o_o

It was interesting to see various reactions to the Telltale game and how they change.

My dad for example was intrigued by a version of Minecraft with Patton Oswalt and a dedicated story (I told him it reminded me of Monkey Island).

Then we watched a let's play made by an incredibly annoying, unceasingly-loud-without-any-insight-making-up-for-it British guy.

Dad lost interest. (surprise?) Just shows how content creators can be advertisements. In this case, apparently trying to convince you to not buy it because its not worth it if its anywhere as non-fun as they make it look.

If you want to see an alright playthrough of that game, I think you can rely on Pakratt. There are very few problems with just about anything he makes, and Story Mode has been jumped on by everybody. Therefore, Pakratt's recording it too.
