Yes!
It is delightfully depressing, it made me despair for the future at many points. The gameshow episode is excellent, and I could gaze at the mysterious wasteland for ages.
Requiem ~ September 2010 - October 2011 [Banned 4 Life]I wish it was on Sy Fy's Ani Monday block.
I actually just found out that the local library has the entire series box set on DVD, and I am picking it up later this week. What's it like? I really liked Serial Experiment Lain, which was the last reccomendation I got. I know nothing about the series, other than it has something to do with robots (and I got that from the back cover), which I usually enjoy doing with anime series. It is nice and weird, though?
My only goal in life is to ensure that Mousa dies of a stress-induced heart attack by the age of 23. READ THISIt's not primarily about robots. They are common in Ergo Proxy, but the show is much more about philosophy and the collapse of civilisation. There are no cool mecha to my recollection.
Requiem ~ September 2010 - October 2011 [Banned 4 Life]I really wanted to like this series, except it was so boring in the middle. Like it started off with a cool plot but then turned into Monster of the Week filler.
But if you ignore that, it's pure eye candy.
I liked that one episode where they did nothing.
Ergo Proxy! It's just so awesome. I just love how existential it is.
