why everyone seems to get so pissed off at the thought that other people are attracted to strange things?

I think we have a hard time drawing certain lines. One of those is the line between "does relate to me" vs. "doesn't".

We see a video of, say, foot fetishism, and in an instant we check (unconsciously) how it would feel to be part of that scene. And then if that feeling is yuck, we project that onto the real participants.

I think it works so great with sexuality because it has some pretty intense emotions attached to it, and emotions weaken our rational side.

I sort of go against the OP's stance, in that I do not at all understand, and am kind of creeped out by, vore.

It's about variations on getting eaten. I don't get it.
