Huh. Well, I suppose it's mainly for the bonuses, then.
There is a very minor difference in some dialogue, but not much else. The point is:
- bonus items - the Exam, if grinded all the way up, is quite strong, and the visual modules look one; You get different ones for a different class chosen during the character creation
- minor dialogue changes
- the Ex-Guardian title
I did not hear anything about there being any mission specific for an imported character, so it can be skipped. However, I would still import, if only for the sword and visual modules.
Edit: it appears I typed what was already said. Oh well.

Well, I already did import, but it's kind of depressing me that everything was reduced to nothing. I sort of lost motivation to play after that. If it was impossible to import at all and I was forced to make a new character from scratch I probably wouldn't care that much, but the disappointment caught me off guard.
...couldn't they at least keep all the clothes in my bank?

You do get the clothes that the imported character was wearing, they are in the inventory - in case of wanting to import more than one rare outfit, multiple imports are necessary; all that is stored into the shared storage stays there and is loaded from a system save, so You can even overwrite the imported character over and over.
But it is an inconvenient system.

Anyone still playing. I'm kind of interested in playing online with a few tropers.
Also -is still being a real dick to Emilia-.
"Careful, it might be a trap!"

Fucking Nano Dragons. >_>
Yeah, I'm still playing.

Wait, Nano Dragons are in PSP 2?
...Kind of makes me sad that enemies can't attack each-other anymore...
I wanted to bump the topic a while ago, but it did not seem any-one was interested...
I am still playing, but I have no means by which I could play on-line. Currently started to play with a H Ucaseal, since farming with my F Onewearl was getting far too hard and time consuming - my best TECH was lv. 7 Foie, since I could not consistently clear any higher level missions; now I am using Shared Storage to give myself an array of items, ha!
You first encounter Nanodragon in the Story Mission in Chapter 5 (or 6, the PSO Caves VR Mission). There are one of a few returning enemies, like Sinow Gold, Nar Lily or Sharks - and the Dragon, obviously.
Edit: wrong sex in shorthand names.

I bought this last month, its the first Phantasy Star game I played. I really like it. It's everything Monster Hunter should be, really.
Just created a new cast character. I seem to be preferring Casts over any other race...
Also, they brought back Growl, From the Depths of the Earth. That makes me happy. :3

...The start of chapter nine...
Is everyone retarded?
What's worse than forcing a girl to become a biological computer for a bit despite her protests and emotional scarring? How about everyone in the galaxy being mind-fucked into meatpuppets by magical space ghosts!

Welcome back to Phantasy Star Portable 2: Drua Gohra edition.
So I got my copy today, and I got to play for a little bit before my battery started whining about being undercharged. So yeah... Drua Gohras...
They have lots of health for level 10 creatures. That 400% health multiplier might have something to do with it.

Oh my god, Alseva Borega, DROP ALREADY.
BUUUUUMP.
I have a desire to play Infinity, but I want English ;-;
Oh hey cool, a thread for this.
I started playing about a month ago, and I really like this. I'm holding off from completing the final chapter of the storyline to try out other races/classes. Being a ranger in the first Portable was incredibly frustrating.
I was disappointed to learn that Infinity doesn't have a western release. :T Here's hoping.
It doesn't keep the general look though, it defaulted to the standard of the race-gender combo. I had to recreate the look from scratch.
