Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. You know, the more I think about this, the more it looks like a South Park episode played absolutely seriously. Girl gets magically pregnant, the kid was conceived through rape and is its own father, NOBODY bats an eye about this, she falls in love with her own son, giant dinosaurs out of fucking nowhere... Yep, South Park. Without any traces of humor and satire.
Also, all the while I was typing this, there was some cartoony lampshade giving me stupid advices. Is that a new feature ?
Edit : Oh, wait, it's April Fools Day. Now I get it.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the alcoholism jokes.
That doesn't strike me as an adequate justification.
It does to me.
Think of it more as a riff on Tony Stark's character (at least based on how Linkara portrays him).
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I'm not aware of your life being affected by alcoholism the way mine has so I'm sorry but I'm not sure your input is appreciated. No offense.
Linkara's general rule is that anything pre-Demon in a Bottle or anything that handles Tony's alcoholism poorly is open to drunk jokes.
I thought this would fall into the former category, but apparently not. The Avengers #200 postdates Demon in a Bottle by a good year.
I dunno whether the comic's more general mishandling of Tony's (and, well, everyone's) personality excuses that, or what.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Oh, that was a good video. Stopped following AT 4 W a long while ago, but had to watch his review for this. Pretty funny episode.
So near as I can tell this falls into neither of those categories. What with Tony's alcoholism not actually being a feature of the comic and all.
I mean, there's plenty of things to make fun of there. Plenty of awful things on other issues that I appreciate Linkara tackling. I loved his expression with the "and I think that's a relationship worth exploring" bit. I liked most of his expressions.
But that stinger bit at the end that some people liked made me kind of uncomfortable, and seemed a bit unnecessary.

You know, that's probably something you wanted to share with us in the first place. Otherwise, how could the rest of us understand just why you took offense at it? And now that we know; yeah, I can understand how that can accept you. But in comedy, nothing is sacred, or at least in many cases, it isn't. Besides, this would be far from the first time Linkara has used drinking for comedic effect; during most of his Marville reviews, he's been shown with booze in hand, with the implication that he's drunk enough liquor to give himself alcohol poisoing. And on top of that, this isn't the first time he's made a Drunk!Tony Stark joke.
If this really upsets you that much, then I don't know what to tell you. Many comedic works takes drinking rather lightly for comedic effect. You're not supposed to take it seriously.

Sorry. I shouldn't have said anything.
According to his Twitter, Linkara seems to be having trouble uploading his April Fool's video.
Maybe that's the april's fool joke?
Yay Team Four Star!
I don't know where that rule about Tony's alcoholism from Linkara came from (though I can believe that he said that), but at a con panel Linkara said that he's not going to do suicide jokes because he knows some of his fans have depression and apparently one of Spoony's fan did commit suicide (and of course since then there was Justin/Jewario), but if I recall he said alcoholism jokes is as dark as he's willing to go. (also keep in mind he clearly got a LOT of flak for that JMS Superman bit and actually had to address it in a later video. While I can understand that alcoholism jokes can suck for those who've been there (I haven't, but I HAVE been hit hard with the other thing) I also recognize that a LOT of entertainment uses alcohol jokes, and I'm even less comfortable saying that all of those shouldn't do it either.
Hopefully I didn't offend anyone with that, that was just my thoughts on the subject and mention that bit Lewis said. That and I wanted to test out that April Fools joke. ;)

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Considering that all of Avengers #200 was 'handled poorly', I think Linkara can get away with making the Drunk!Tony jokes here.
Linkara: Blah blah blah superhero blah blah superhero.
My mind: BORING.
I need to get my mind to stop going into hiding at the mere mention of the word.
