It's basically designed as the opposite of Awesome Moment of Crowning but with the added subjective concept that the scene comes off poorly or something.

It does seem like a valid trope, but I'm not sure if the current version is worth salvaging.
According to the page history, the original YKTTW is from over a year ago, and it never got any comments. I say send it back to YKTTW to get a better description, more examples - and most importantly - a new name.

This is a perfectly valid trope: a character is stripped of rank, title or authority, or willingly divests themselves of it. Mind, it's a very broad trope and needs to be refined, but it's valid enough.
In the event of a firestorm, the salad bar will remain open.
