It reminds me of Poe's Law.
Is it just an autoparody when I say I am better than you, or is it the truth? Oh how I you hate being unable to tell the difference.
I still don't like Godwin's Law as a whole because of how annoying "NAZIIS!!!1" gets as an argument.
Troper PageI'mma call Godwin on this discussion.

The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.Too bad there isn't a religious counterpart to Godwin's Law you could call when your opponent tries to use religion to back their position. In my eyes, anyone trying that has lost the argument as surely as if they'd tried comparing their opponent to Hitler.
Edit: Hmm... I think I'll take this over to On Topic Conversations for some serious discussion.

Accidental mistakes are forgivable, intentional ones are not.Although I actually am a Christian, I typically just claim that their religion is a pile of fiddle-faddle, just to piss them off. And yes, I do use the word "fiddle-faddle." just cause it's funny to say.
In reality though, using your religion to justify political ideas is quite annoying. The US is a secular nation, and I'd prefer to keep it that way.

You know what the most awesome thing about it is?
If you compare your opponent to Nazis, and then they use Godwin's Law, it strengthens the comparison!
Funny, ain't it?
