This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Not having been in this situation before, what steps do I have to take to be allowed to edit again?

After your suspension for TLP shenanigans that Fighteer brought up, ~Logic Meister, it was revealed that you had a work page and a Fridge page for yourself. If you want to trope yourself, use the Tropers/ namespace instead. Work pages are for tropes describing the work.
As for the Fridge page, it's among the pages that are off limits for creators of the work, as they're meant to be audience reactions.

I want you to keep the Help with English topic that I linked above in mind. I can release your suspension now, but if we need to tap you on the shoulder again for grammar, getting passed by it will be the only way we'd consider letting you edit again. Is that understood?

~Logic Meister: Creating an article for one's own You Tube channel and similar things is discouraged, as it leads to a phenomenon we call Auto-Erotic Troping. Our wiki is a place for fans to share their interests, not for creators to promote themselves. Also, you are never allowed to add YMMV or audience reactions for your own work; that includes Fridge and related subpages.
Acknowledge these and we can release your suspension.

The last time was several years ago. I wasn't intending to get into an Edit War again. I was just trying to ensure no falsehoods would be input into the page. Should I have gotten the moderators to deal with the situation instead?

It has been two or three years, so it slipped my mind. I don't have anything I want to prove. I was just trying to insist on accuracy and truthfulness.
There are no political views being espoused in the story. The flaws of the absolute monarchy style are pointed out, and that was it. There was a throwaway line about how they should have tried something new, but no promoting of the author's political allignment.
If anything, I thought I was stopping someone that had an agenda to slander the author through the page.

I'll be blunt. You're suspended for Delusions of Ownership. Not of any particular trope or page, but of the whole wiki.
You do not engage in conversation or discussion, you issue threats. You do not offer suggestions, you make pronouncements.
You have stated that you regard the purpose of TRS as being to cut tropes, rather than what it is, the place to deal with poor tropes, whether by repairing, changing or possibly cutting them.
You have expressed that no subtrope is valid because any division of a Supertrope is "The Same But More Specific". You have expressed that you believe that any trope which does not advance the plot is "People Sit On Chairs". You have not only added a Bomb to a TLP proposal that you don't think should launch, but campaigned to get others to add them as well.
And you have posted in TLP and ATT more than once in a way that implies to any other poster that you are staff, making statements about what will or will not be allowed.
In short, your consistent behavior pattern indicates that you do not, will not, or can not understand the fundamental nature of a wiki: co-operative effort by the community. You are not interested in co-operative effort, you want to be dictator.

I open a discussion, and receive no response. Many troopers simply ignore all attempts at discussion on a proposal to add examples, burying it. Others brush off concerns without explaining why they believe a proposal is not a duplicate.
Not once have I ever said the purpose of the TRS is to cut tropes.
When the discussion of a proposed subtrope fails to establish any distinction, I bring this into focus. But when someone successfully explains how they think something is tropeworthy, I step back from the draft, as I can agree with their logic. Campaigning to discard drafts is often the only way to prevent a launch. Preventing launches of duplicate and or not tropeworthy proposals has been the recent focus of discussion on the YKTTW crash thread.
Not once have I ever claimed to be staff, and I have once even had to directly say so.
I do understand the co-operative nature of a wiki, but what the TLP genuinely lacks is a way to root out duplicate proposals before they inevitably launch, and yes, the inevitability of launching is a concern that was discussed on the YKKTW crash thread.
I had decided to take a stand to be a barrier that could slow the flow of potential duplicates, because there is nobody else willing to do so.

Nothing in your response indicates that you are willing to work co-operatively with other tropers. You were just suspended in December for the same sort of behavior.
In discussion with the other mods, not one of them offered even a suggestion of leniency for you.
The suspension stands permanently. You may read the wiki and forums, but you may not edit, or post in TLP, or post in the forums. And I would like to remind you that ban-evading merits a permanent bounce; you will not be able to access any part of the site, even to read it. I would also remind you that soliciting other posters to post on your behalf will get them banned.

My previous suspension was not for any action on the TLP. It was for misconduct in an argument with a single Trooper in ATT. I request a more detailed analysis into this situation. The accusations here are self contradictory and untrue.

So basically It's just me having been too lax with my grammar. Fair enough, that was one my weaknesses. And to be fair, it seems I just have to make a more conscious effort to do my spelling properly. KK, so before my suspension can be lifted, I have to do some practice in "Get Help With English Here", right?
