Hyperbole and a Half

Oh sweet Jesus I love this comic/blog/thingy. I first came upon it a couple weeks ago when someone linked the PAAAARP one, and now I think she's topped herself with The God Of Cake. Good fucking God I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard.

That was also one helluva fun Archive Binge.

Also, spasticgecko's avatar makes me happy cause I see it and I'm reminded of the cake and then I get happy.

Oh man, I love that blog. Her sense of humor and timing is perfect, and her stories are strangely easy to relate to.

...Come to think of it, we don't have a works page for it yet, do we?

I think if I were an English teacher I'd be using the alot as a teaching tool.

Seriously though, I read the Alot thing like several months ago, and when someone linked to it on this site a while ago I decided to read the rest of the blog forward. And then the rest of the blog back. All the way back to the very beginning. And it was still funny then, though not really as awesome.

Actually, instead I just might make one of her after eating the whole cake, but thanks for offering!

Edit- and done! Maybe this will start a new avatar trend, like that one chick from that webcomic about a month ago.

I'm so glad that TV Tropes led me to this blog. The entries that I've read so far were spectacular. I would probably make an Alot avatar, but I like my new avatar too much to change it anytime soon.

Also: The Fish story is the best, if you ever need to make a teenager to abstain from sex, show that story and tells him/her that "this could happen to you".

The moment I saw your Hyperbole and a Half avatar I wanted my own. This thread spurred me into action.

Yours is much better though. Mine got kind of massacred in the resizing.

It still works. That's the thing about her art, it's so damned expressive I don't notice if it's grainy or made in MS Paint, I love it all the same.

I'm pretty sure she's a really good artist or something and draws like that for fun, because I definitely couldn't draw something that good-bad.

Yeah, good "bad" art is surprisingly hard to do.

I try "bad" art every so often, and it's really really hard. Allie's a great artist.

You'll find a few pieces amongst her drawings that suggest she might actually be pretty good. Those aberrations against nature...
