The MST3K wiki is really disappointing, though.. they only give really brief episode summaries.
Formerly known as Crow T. Robot.Oh my goodness. Wild World Of Batwoman... It's like Jerry Warren had heard about movies a few times, but never actually saw one before making his own.
I haven't been so weirded-out by cinema since Turkish Star Wars.
And Laserblast was amazing. Quality riffage, and the host segments were a very fitting end to the Comedy Central era and Dr Clayton Forrester.
Even if I hadn't enjoyed 2001: A Space Odyssey, understanding the end of this episode completely made watching that worthwhile.
My favorite episode is The Final Sacrifice. It was the first one that I laughed really hard at.
I still can't decide if my favorite episode is Space Mutiny, Warrior Of The Lost World, or Manos The Hands Of Fate.
The most painful episode was Monster A Go Go. I had to stop watching three times because the movie was so bad.
And then I got to the ending.
Fave riff from Wild World Of Batwoman, “You know, that may not really be Chinese.”

I’ve been viewing Season 7 (which I pretty much missed the first time around) serially and I’m up to Deathstalker III. I’ve noticed the riffing and gags get a little laboured this time round, like the whole “Clayton! Clayton!” thing (ugh!) or the “stealing Mike’s money at the Renaissance Faire” bit that takes up two host segments when one would have been plenty. Not to mention the “Steve” bit from Night of the Blood Beast, which wasn’t funny the first time they did it.

Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!I think my favorite is still Hercules Against The Moon Men. DEEEEEEEP HURTING. DEEEEEEEP HURTING.
"Push the button, Frank." "I am the button."
"He's wearing his thong upside down."
"Wow, I've never killed a guy like that before. That was neat!"
"It's like a bad Antonioni movie." "You mean an Antonioni movie?"
"PizzaPizzaPizzaPizzaPizzaPizza..."
"Wait, now there's TWO guys in there!"
"Well, the machine doesn't see Hercules the way we do. The machine sees Hercules as a series of ones and zeroes, and..."
Pants! Pants! Sing the praises of pants...
"Good thing they made everything out of balsa wood back then."
And the part where they have the slaves operating the torture device singing Roger Miller songs for no apparent reason always kills me, I don't know why.

What about Prince of Space? "Oh the humanity! Oh the Japanity!"

It was no Invasion of the Neptune Men. Not the Hitler Building!
"What the f— It's a trip into Mike's subconscious!" "...I gotta admit, it's pretty accurate."
Forgive the necro-ish post, but I've just seen Final Justice.
It.
I just.
I've watched a fair amount of MST 3 K. I've seen Mitchell. I've even seen Manos: Hands of Fate, and Overclocked at the Memory Bank. I thought I knew what a bad movie looked like.
But Final Justice was really, really bad. And I don't mean bad in a sort of, "wow, they really didn't care about this movie," I mean... It was repetitive, racist, illogical, sexist, featured bad pacing, poorly framed shots, flat characters, a story that was basically an hour and a half of jingoistic cowboy bullshit, and about twice as many close ups of Joe Don Baker's doughy mug than would be allowed in a PG-13 movie today. Think of the children, Joe Don, for god's sake think of the children.
If it hadn't been for Mike and the bots' jokes, particularly the food song during the credits, I think I'd have put a sledgehammer through the television. @_@

But somehow,◊Space Mutiny's my favorite. And also the first one I saw, as it happens!
And just recently, I saw Manos for the first time. It lived up to its reputation!
Some of my favorite episodes:
- Pumaman. Or perhaps "Pewmaman". Worst hero ever? Ancient Inca demi-god looks like a lame Superman-themed wrestler? One of his superpowers is playing dead?
- Space Munity. Reb Brown's high pitched screaming. Floor buffers. I never watched the show but even I recognize footage from Battlestar Galactica. "Big Mc Largehuge".
- Red Zone Cuba. The minute long John Carradine cameo. Least likable characters ever. "I'm Cherokee Jack!". And of course NNNIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHHTTTTTT TTTTRRAAAAIIINNNNN-
- Wild World of Batwoman. Wow. I love the half-hearted "madcap" ending with the army of finks running around, Batwoman standing around looking stunned, and the one who hops on the rope and swings back and forth. And of course the Face Palm moment of "CHING CHONG CHANG CHING CHANG CHONG" "I don't speak Chinese''.
- Prince of Space. "How many times must I tell you, your weapons have no effect on me" "Shoot him!". EEEEEHHHHH-HEH-HEH-HEH. That scene with Mike and the bots clucking as the henchmen run around is beautiful.

"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984In a bit of a sadder bump, I just read that Ross Hagen, who was the star in The Hellcats and Sidehackers, passed away a few weeks back. Gonna watch the Hellcats riff in tribute now (like I always do either way)
A strange little tribute.

Every time I rewatch Santa Claus, I gain a deeper appreciation for just how insane the movie is.
"Can we skip to a country with some rhythm?"
"Is this weird enough for you, folks? How does this make you feel about Santa?"
"Yes, Santa has his tendrils in everything. There is no escaping the Klaus organization."
That's become a holiday favorite of my family's, alongside Santa Claus Conquers The Martians.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!I received a gift card and used it to order the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Vs. Gamera box set. I'm excited.
The first episode I saw was Hamlet, but it was Lost Continent that got me into the show. That one, Pod People and Jack Frost are my favorites.
Looking for some stories? The first episode I saw was the Killer Shrews a long time ago when I was pretty young.
I'm downloading the entire series and I'm starting from season one; I love it.
It's not exactly an earth-shattering choice, but I think out of the episodes I've watched, Pod People and Prince Of Space are my favorites. Honorable mention goes to Overdrawn At The Memory Bank. Raul Julia made that movie far better than it would have been otherwise, but even so, I just love how goofy that one is. It's almost a good film, but it falls short of the mark in every way.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Rewatched Gamera vs. Guiron for the first time in years last night. Definitely one of MST's best episodes ever. Now that I've seen the prior Gamera episode, I can better appreciate just how goofy this movie is. I mean, this is a series starring a giant fire-breathing turtle, so the little seriousness they had came about by aping the first Godzilla or by keeping Gamera himself off-screen as long as possible. But for this movie, it's clear the filmmakers themselves weren't taking it seriously. The kids having a space adventure while all the adults are either completely useless or evil? The bad kaiju has a knife for a head? Gamera has a theme song, with lyrics, now? And he's doing gymnastics? This is clearly a movie for kids, and it very well may have been written by kids, too. And the dub is utterly... atrocious too, littered with awkward... pauses in the dialogue.
So yeah, the movie is a true goldmine of riffing material, and the SOL crew certainly rise to the challenge. Some of my favorite riffs:
- "I'll show you. I'll grow up to break up the Beatles!"
- "Kon-chan, help her!" "Cornjob Helper? Sounds good."
- The entire "Hello. Thank you" exchange.
That was my first ever MST 3 K episode; I caught it while channel surfing. I adored the Bicycle Song and I completely lost it with the General Cinemas joke. Almost twenty years later, and here I am, still a fan.
And yes, it is a truly great episode for the way they handle the sheer absurdity of it all. If you ever try to summarize this episode in any amount of detail for someone, you realize just how odd it really is.
And immediately he uses his powers for peeping!
